1.Retell the passage according to the mind map.
2.Encourage students to face difficulties bravely,try to find ways to overcome difficulties, and do not give up easily. Teaching procedure: Stage I. Pre-reading Step 1. Prediction
Show the picture about Wen Fen and the passage written by Wen Fen. Ask students to guess , How does Wei Fen learn English ? What’s the passage mainly about ? Then let some students share their ideas with the class. Stage II. While-reading Step 2. Skimming
Let students read the passage quickly ,and match the main idea with each paragraph.

Step 3. Careful reading
1.Let students read paragraph 1 carefully and answer questions. (1)What did she think of English class last year? (2)What was her English class like ? (3)Why ?

(5)Can you imagine how she felt at that time?
2. Let students read paragraph 3 carefully and answer questions. (1) How does she like English class now? (2) Why ?
3. Let students read paragraph 2 carefully and answer questions. (1) What made her fall in love English?
(2) What did she do after she fell in love with English? (3) What did she learn from watching movies?
She gets the meaning by watching their body language and the
expressions on their faces , listening for key words and looking up new words in a dictionary. Watching English movies helps improve her pronunciation and learn
useful Sentences.
(4) What's the secret to language learning ?
(5) What does the two sentences mean ? It’s a piece of cake. It serves you right.
4.Read paragraph 3 carefully and answer the question. What does she want to do later? Stage Ⅲ. Post-reading Step 4. Retelling

本節課是一節閱讀課，本節課的教學材料為人教版 九年級Unit 1 Section A 3a-3b作為主要教學材料，仁愛版九年級Unit 3 Topic 3 Section C 作為拓展練習閱讀材料，它們的共同話題是學英語，這個話題也是英語學習者比較關心的話題，在prediction 中借助課文插圖和文章標題讓學生預測課文內容，激發了學生的學習興趣，順利導入本課話題How I Learned to learn English.本節課的閱讀技巧是通過skimming 概括文章每段的段落大意，通過careful reading 查找文章細節，從而理清文章脈絡，讀懂全文,繪制思維導圖，從而根據思維導圖復述課文，談論WeiFen 的英語學習經歷，從而培養學生遇到困難要想辦法克服困難，不輕易言棄的精神品質。本節課最大的亮點是有兩點，一是借助思維導圖進行復述Wen Wei 的英語學習經歷。二是以Wen Wei 班級同學想要學習到更多學習英語的好方法為由，將不同版本的兩篇文章很巧妙的結合在一起。學生們學的很開心，學有所獲，課堂氣氛教學效果特別好。
