設計的基本理念：
根據《英語新課程標準》教學注重“工具性”和“人文性”統一的要求，學生通過英語課程掌握基本的英語語言知識，發展基本的英語聽、說、讀、寫技能；學生通過英語學習能夠開闊視野，豐富生活經歷，形成跨文化意識。工具性和人文性統一的英語課程有利于為學生的終身發展奠定基礎。
教材分析：
本單元以 Customs 為話題,談論不同國家的不同文化習俗,滲透跨文化交際意識,使學生了解不同的文化習俗和不同的禮儀。語言學習需要大量的輸入，豐富多樣的課程資源有利于英語語言學習。本課時是一節寫作課及復習課，通過復習在前幾個課時學過的各國不同的見面禮來導入的基礎上，結合學生實際情況，我對本節課教材進行了優化調整、補充刪減，運用大量能調動學生積極性的資料，巧妙安排教學過程，逐步推進教學深度。
學生分析
九年級的學生，語言感知能力比較強，本單元話題customs能激起學生的好奇心,調動學生學習英語的積極性,培養他們主動探究認識世界的能力。使學生在語言能力、學習能力、文化品格、思維品質等方面都得以提升。
教學目標
《課程標準》中說：英語教學的目的是培養學生運用語言進行交際的能力，為用而學、在用中學、學了就用，因此我把本課的教學目標定為以下幾個方面： 知識目標
詞匯：suggestion
句型：be supposed to be expected to It’s polite to… 技能目標
1.學生學會運用重點單詞短語來組詞成句，并且有邏輯地組句成篇。
2.學生能夠總結、歸納、鞏固、運用本單元的重點短語及句型表達不同的習俗。 情感目標
學習不同國家的習俗禮儀，尊重不同的文化，養成良好的習慣，做文明的人。 學習策略
1. 認知策略。注重學生的學前預習準備；在英語學習中集中注意力、觀察力、模仿力。 2. 交際策略。培養學生的合作意識。通過兩人對話；四人合作靈活運用目標語言。
教學重難點 重點：
1. 運用重點句型be supposed to, be expected to, It’s polite to進行寫作。 2. 讓學生在聽說讀的基礎上，有條理地輸出語言。 難點：
有條理并且有邏輯地進行語言輸出。 教學方法
1. 課堂教學中才用視聽教學法。利用微課和網絡平臺來吸引學生的課堂注意力，使學生積極地投入到英語學習中。
2. 任務型教學法。創設情景，提供有意義的任務，鼓勵學生自主學習。 學習方式
學生通過小組合作和比較、歸納總結不同國家的習俗。
