教學目標
1. Knowledge objects :

通過閱讀訓練,學會運用過去進行時態,談論過去的事情。

2教材分析
本單元討論的話題是“學會談論過去發生的事情” ,在本單元中,我們主要學習如何談論important events and experiences. 話題內容對學生來說十分有意義,同時也很有實踐性。通過對本單元話題的學習,同學們可以加強彼此間的交流,提高語言聽說能力。本單元分為 Section A, Section B, Self Check 三個部分。本節課是以Do you remember what you were doing? 為話題,讓學生談話重大事件及自身感受,要求學生在讀懂文章的同時,掌握一定的閱讀技巧,并且靈活使用過去進行時。它是在聽說的基礎上,要求結合閱讀訓練,來繼續學習過去進行的用法,強調語言的綜合運用能力。
3學情分析
本單元的主題是談論過去重大事件的發生,是學生感興趣的話題,但是如何運用過去進行時態來談論過去的事,這種綜合語言的應用能力是學生極度欠缺的。通過文章的學習,學生在理解感悟的基礎上進行模仿,綜合運用目標語言是本課的難點。但是,現階段的學生由于語言環境的欠缺,閱讀理解能力的薄弱,導致他們在閱讀課上提不起興趣,甚至是畏懼。如何為學生營造一個輕松的閱讀語言環境,激發學生的閱讀欲望,增強學生綜合語言運用能力是本節課的主要目標。在教學中,引導學生或創設一些情境,這樣既能運用所學知識,聯系生活實際,又能提高解決問題以及綜合運用語言的能力。

重點 :理解文章,完成各項閱讀任務,學會用過去進行時談論過去的事情。
難點 :靈活使用過去進行時態,談論過去的事情。

Step1. Warming-up
Test the students’ memory
by showing the date: September 3 , 2015.
Invite the students guess what the important event is. Do they remember what they were doing at that time?
Enjoy the picture and try to think over what the event is.
通過呈現日期來回憶事件讓學生進行記憶力比賽,為營造輕松地學習氛圍,激發學生參與課堂的動力。
Step2. Pre-reading
Would you like to know some events in American history? What do you know about him or it?
Teach the new words.
Some students try to introduce him or it to us.
Follow the teacher to learn new words .
通過對新單詞的教學,幫助學生排除閱讀中的障礙。
Step3. While reading
Fast reading
Ask them to read the passage quickly.
Check their answers.
What’s the topic sentence(中心句) of the passage?
Divide(劃分)this passage into two parts.
Careful reading
Ask them to read the
passage again ,but this time, they must read it carefully . Ask them to fill in the chart on the screen and check .

讓學生對內容有所感知,學會閱讀訓練的泛讀。
通過此環節,主要是讓學生把握文章細節,目的是更深層次地理解語篇,獲取文本信息并能正確輸出。
Step4.
Post reading
Present the mind map of the passage on the blackboard to help the students to retell the passage.
Pairwork: Retelling the article.
Students follow the teacher to say out the key words and key sentences.
Prepare for retelling the article according to the mind map.
先讓學生跟老師一起復述,樹立自信。再讓他們生生互助,概括全文,吃透教材,意在培養他們英語綜合素質。
Step5. Enjoy the speech from Dr. Martin Luther King.
Play the speech.
Enjoy the famous speech,
讓學生真實的感受名人的一些優秀品質的同時, 如何從自身出發來實現人生的價值。
