Unit 5 Happy Birthday
學生在前一節課已經學了有關的數字單詞1-10和幾個簡單的禮物單詞,進行了聽說讀寫的基礎訓練,學會了問別人幾歲的句子。本節課重點巧用書本的story的情景進行不同形式的反復鞏固,內化,綜合運用語言,完成學習任務。
課型:會話課(鞏固, 對話交際,任務活動) 課時:第3課時(40minutes) 教學目標:
本節課要求學生繼續鞏固,熟練掌握并運用上節課所學的詞匯和句型,學會用Look at the candles. How old are you? / How old is he? …..Yeah, that’s right.,談論別人幾歲的話題,培養學生熱愛生活,樂于與人交談的習慣,同時學會觀察和記錄生活點滴。
熟練運用的句型:How old is he/she? He/She is_eight__. How old are you? I am __nine_. 教學重點:理解本單元課文,能夠正確的朗讀課文并進行表演。 教學難點:能夠仿照教師給出的句子寫出幾個送禮物給別人的句子。
Step 1: Warming up:

(設計意圖:既可以復習數字單詞,又可以熱熱身。為下一個環節做鋪墊。) Step 2: Presentation
1. Introduction: (用幻燈片出示圖片和問題) Ask and answer: 1) T: What’s this? S: It’s a candle. 2) T: What are they? S: They are candles. 3) T: What’s that? S: It’s a balloon.
4) T: What are those? S: They are balloons. How many balloons can you see? S: I can see six balloons. 5) T: What is it? S: It is a cookie. How many cookies can you see? S: One cookie.
6) T: What are these? S: They are cookies. How many cookies can you see? S: I can see 4 cookies. 7) T: Is this a present? S: Yes, it is.
8) T: Are they cookies? S: No, they aren’t. They are presents. 9) T: How old are you? S: I am nine.
How old is she? She’s ___. How old is he? He’s ____.
(設計意圖:引導學生進行復習unit5的單詞和句型,為下一個環節做鋪墊。)
2. Teach the story.
1) 用幻燈片出示圖片, 教“a birthday cake”的讀音. T: What’s this? S: ….
T: Oh, it’s a birthday cake.(教a birthday cake 的讀音。)...... 2) Listen to the song and sing it, then answer a question.
T: Today is Tony’s birthday. How old is Tony? Let’s listen to the song,then answer the question.OK?......
(設計意圖:引出話題,引導學生通過這首歌來回答問題,并設計縣念,為下一個環節做鋪墊,激發學生想要了解這個故事的欲望。)
3). Show the questions about the story, and let the students watch the story, then teach the sentences:Look at the candles. Yeah, that’s right. a). How old is Tony?
b).How old is Jenny?

c). How old is Gogo?
(設計意圖:帶著問題觀看動畫視頻,獲取信息,核對自己的猜測。) 4). Students answer the questions, teacher shows the right answers.
5). 再次引導學生理解Look at the candles. …Yeah, that’s right.的含義和讀音。 (設計意圖:通過圖片,引導學生理解句子含義,突破難點,為后面做好鋪墊。) Step3: Practice
1. T: Now, let’s listen and watch it again. 2. 分角色朗讀,教師糾音。
3. 4人一組角色朗讀,練習表演課文。 4. 選幾組上臺表演。
(設計意圖:通過模仿表演活動,培養學生自主合作學習的能力, 使學生覺得這節課很有趣與題目相符。)
Step 4: Extension
1) PPT出示整個故事。
T: Look at the whole story. What happen to Tony’s birthday party in the end ? 學生討論:送什么禮物給Tony?
2) PPT出示要寫的句子, 教師講解,學生寫句子。
T: Now we are Tony’s friends. What will you want to give him? Let’s write down the things. For example: The balloon is for you, Tony. The balloons are for you, Tony? 3) Let’s sing a birthday song for Tony. Step 5: Homework
1. 聽錄音,朗讀課文。
