一、教材分析
本單元的話題為“公共標識”,其功能項目是談論公共場所發生的事情。在教學過程中要緊密聯系生活實際,引導學生關注標識,討論標識,做遵守公共法規和秩序的社會公民。 本課的新授句型有:What does … mean? It means…和No+doing(動名詞)結構。前者要求學生靈活運用,后者只需學生認讀理解即可。另外,本課呈現了的情態動詞can和can’t的新用法,表示允許和禁止的意思。教師可以結合學生以前所學的can的用法進行對比教學,幫助學生區分和理解兩種用法。
二、學情分析
教師要注意把握好學生對本故事的興趣,在了解故事情節的過程中激發學生的學習興趣,提升學生的道德觀和價值觀。本課的主要語法點是對公共場所的標識進行提問及回答,掌握起來較為容易。本單元的主題在實際生活中非常常見,教師要給學生創造機會,讓每一名學生都參與到學習方式的討論中,這將有利于學生更好地掌握這一結構。
三、教學目標 1. 知識目標
(1) 能初步感知并理解故事,能夠體會故事中主要人物的不同情感,用不同的語氣朗讀并表演故事。
(2) 能夠簡單地聽、說、讀單詞及詞組:sign, at a shopping centre, be careful, mean, take…into…, in a restaurant
(3)能聽懂、會說、會讀:What does it mean? It means ……./ No eating or drinking./ No littering./ No smoking./ Wet floor. 2. 技能目標
(1)能借助提示,完整的復述本課對話
(2) 通過本課時的學習,讓學生能夠看懂一些常見的公共標識,并能用英語進行詢問極其描述。 3. 情感目標
(1)根據標志的意思,能夠介紹、詢問、給人以忠告和建議。
(2)通過學習公共標志常識,加強社會公德教育,提高學生自身的文明素養。
四、重點與難點
(1)通過本課時的學習,讓學生能夠看懂一些常見的公共標示,并能用英語進行詢問及其描述。
(2)能借助提示,完整的復述本課對話。
五、教法分析
根據六年級學生的認知特點和學習心理,教師要善于利用插圖、動畫等媒體,動靜結合、形象生動地呈現對話情景和目標語。過程中,又要積極創設情景,滾動復習,通過師生和生生間的良好互動,有效達成本課的學習目標。在閱讀過程中通過同桌交流、匯報展示等方式,引導學生共同學習,培養合作習慣。

T: Hello, boys and girls. Today I’m your new English teacher. I’m from Luoshe Primary school. My English name is May. Good morning, class. S: Good morning May. T: Nice to meet you. S: Nice to meet you, too.
個別交談Hello, boy/ girl. I’m May. What’s your name? I like listening to the music. What do you like? Do you like…? I can play basketball. Can you play basketball? What can you do? Can you…?
【設計意圖】:在課前開展師生自由問答(Free talk),不僅可以拉近師生之間的距離,使
師生輕松、自然地走入英語學習。同時,通過“ Can you…? What can you do?”問答,復習了情態動詞can,表示“會,能夠”之意,也是為了與本課呈現的情態動詞can和can’t的新用法,表示“允許、禁止”之意進行對比,幫助學生區分和理解兩種用法。
教學環節二Presentation and practice 1. Pre-reading (1) Game
T: I will show you a video. Let’s watch and judge. If it is good, say“Yeah, yeah, yeah”. If it is not good, say“No, no, no”.

【設計意圖】:基于本課話題“Signs”的功能,在課前設置了游戲“Yeah, yeah,yeah. No, No, No”,呈現我校學生日常發生的不規范行為的視頻,學生觀看視頻,判斷舉止是否文明,并給出建議。通過此游戲,不但激發學生的興趣,也提醒學生發現身邊出現不文明的行為,應用語言進行勸阻。同時也可以出示一些標識提醒人們,從而引出今天的教學Signs并揭題。
(3) Brain storm
Where can we see the signs?
We can see the sign in the zoo/ cinema/ park/ school…(如果學生通過預習說到 shopping centre或restaurant就隨機教學。)
(如未涉及新詞)T: We can see them in many places. And we can also see them at the shopping centre.
Teach: shopping centre
T: What can you do there? We can drink juice in the juice shop. 引導學生用句型 We can… in the…回答。
如學生答不到地點,老師補充。如:We can eat snacks at a snack bar. Sometimes we sing in the KTV. I like buying things/going shopping in the supermarket. Do you like playing in the children’s park?
T: There are many shops at the shopping centre. We can do many things at the shopping center. Look, Who are at the shopping centre? (PPT呈現文中人物) S: Mike, Helen and Tim.
T: Where do they go at the shopping centre?
【設計意圖】:揭題后讓學生說一說在哪些地方能看到標識,引出shopping centre的教學,通過提問What can you do at the shopping centre?進一步理解這個詞,也讓學生發散思維的同時建立起學習內容與生活實際間的聯系。學生說的基礎上順勢引出“We can also see them at the shopping centre. ”從而呈現故事情境。 2.While-reading
(1) Watch and find (看動畫,找到他們先后去的地點) T: Let’s watch and find.
S: First, they walk by a clothes shop. Next, they go to the juice shop. Then, they go to the bookshop. Finally, they go to the restaurant.
【設計意圖】:通過讀前的學習,學生已經很清楚文中人物在購物中心,所以讓學生去看卡通片來找出人物在購物中心去了哪些地方,通過這個簡單的任務來幫助學生整體感知課文,
使學生理解課文大意。為了幫助學生理清所去地點的先后順序,反饋時選擇地點陳述先后順序,給予學生四個地點的圖片進行選擇再陳述,降低了一定難度,也不失一定的思維含量。
(2) Look and say (指導學生從課文插圖中快速獲取信息)
T: First they walk by a clothes shop. What signs do they see? Can you see the sign?(PPT 呈現放大的第一張標識) What sign is it? 情況一 情況二

(4) Learn “No littering.”
T: Next, they see a juice shop. May be they are thirsty. Listen, what are they talking about? (播放錄音Do you want some juice? Yes, please. Here’s a sign.)
T: Oh, Tim sees a sign. Do you know the sign? What does it mean?(PPT 呈現放大的第二張標識) Read and find the answer. T; What does it mean?
S: It means you can’t litter here.
Teach: litter can’t litter (結合圖片及肢體語言教學) T: So we call it… Teach: No littering.
T: We can’t litter here. So we should put the rubbish in the bin. Listen and repeat.(跟讀第二段課文)
T&S(Retell): Next, they see a juice shop. They are thirsty. They want some juice. They can see the sign “No littering.” It means they can’t litter here. They should put the rubbish in the bin. 【設計意圖】:第一、二兩段課文學生是在教師引導下細細分析、品味的。生詞的理解、句型的意義和操練、詞形的正確選用、對話的展開模式,有序全面復述關鍵信息等等,都是在教師的引導下逐步展開和達成的。如No littering的教學,先看圖理解litter,再加上禁止符號理解can’t litter, 最后得出No littering的標識名稱。在層層文字加圖片的對比中,提煉從動詞原形到No doing的表達方式。
(5)Learn Paragraph3,4
①T: They see the signs near the bookshop and in the restaurant. What do the see there? (師手指課文插圖3,4) Can you put them in the right picture? Who can help me? (剩下的兩張標識讓學生貼在黑板正確的位置) Check (PPT上呈現)
T: What do they mean? Open your books, read and underline. Then ask and answer in pairs. (教師在學生小組活動時進行巡視,并分別叫兩個學生貼板書,只貼標識含義。)

T&S(Retell): Then, they see a bookshop. Helen wants to go in. They see the sign “No eating or drinking.” It means they can’t eat or drink there. So they can’t take juice into the bookshop.

T: Here “someone”means the man.(手指指向圖中男士) T: Can he smoke here? S: No.
T: Why? Because there is a sign. What does it mean? S1: What does it mean?
S2: It means you can’t smoke here. T: What does it mean?
S: It means you can’t smoke here. T: So we call it“ No…” Teach: No smoking. T: What does it mean?
S: It means we can’t smoke here. T: What else can’t we do here? S: We can’t run/ shout there.
T: And we can’t waste food. We should eat up all the food. Read and repeat ( 跟讀第四段)
T&S (Retell): Finally, they are hungry. Now they are eating noodles in the restaurant. They smell smoke. Someone is smoking. They see the sign “No smoking.” It means he can’t smoke there. 【設計意圖】:第三、四兩段課文,在學生有一定的語言積累和習得了學習方式以后,教師通過任務“正確張貼標識、理解標識意義”的引領,放手讓學生自學,討論,反饋。在學習了每個標識后都注意適當拓展,如What can’t we do here/there? What can we do here/there?豐富語言,發展思維,而不僅僅是局限于課文就事論事。這個環節,真正是要學生根據實際情況,用今天所學來組織語言回答的。

【設計意圖】:課前播放的視頻中含有一些不文明的行為,在這里重現這些行為,讓學生選擇恰當的標識來提醒他們。視頻中那些學生經過他人提醒,都改正了自己不文明的行為,成為遵守公共秩序的好學生。從而倡導學生遵守規章制度,做文明學生。首尾呼應,升華主題。 Homework
