教學內容:Unit 1The lion and the mouse (Story time) 教學目標:
1. 能了解故事的意思。
2. 通過故事的學習,學會詞語large,strong,sharp,weak,動詞過去時woke,bit,并初步能根據副詞quietly,loudly,happily,sadly的情感朗讀課文。 3. 能根據故事情節,進行角色表演。
4. 通過對于故事的理解,體會到故事寓意:Helping others is helping ourselves. (幫助別人就是幫助自己). Don’t look down upon the weak.(不要小瞧弱者) 教學重難點:
1. 能根據故事情節,進行角色表演。 2. 通過對于故事的理解,體會到故事寓意。 教學過程: A.
Lead-in
1. Make a greeting:
T: Today we’ll divide into two groups. Let’s see which team can do better. 2. T: I like drawing. And I can draw something with only one stroke.
Look and guess: Look, what am I drawing? (在黑板上一筆畫出一只獅子和一只老鼠)
3. T: Yes, they are a lion and a mouse. What can you think about them? Let’s have a brain storm. S: 學生描述,教師板書。
4. T: The lion is ‘large’. What does it mean? Very big. Read after me. Large. T: Do you know ‘strong’? (指圖,動作幫助理解) Read after me. Strong. T: What does ‘weak’ mean? (如果學生沒有說就跳過)
設計意圖:利用簡筆畫,吸引學生的注意力,同時引出本課的任務獅子和老鼠,并對他們的形象進行一個描述,滲透新詞large,strong,weak。
B. Pre-reading 1. Guess:
T: If a lion meets a mouse, what will happen? Discuss in pairs. S: Maybe…
設計意圖:讓學生根據已有的經驗或者發揮自己的想象,談論獅子和老鼠相遇后會怎么樣,培養學生的表達能力和創新能力。 2. 揭題
T: We’ll read a story about a lion and a mouse. What happened in the story? Let’s have a look.
設計意圖:激發學生閱讀故事的動機。
C. Read the story 1. Reading for gist
要求:快速瀏覽課文,用3-4句話簡要說說故事內容。(給出提示詞:First, Then, Finally)
S: First, the lion caught the mouse, but he let the mouse go. Then, the mouse helped the lion. Finally, they became friends. (同時板書:caught, let go, helped, became friends)
設計意圖:通過快速閱讀課文,并用曾經學過的句型概述課文內容,訓練學生獲取信息和概括能力。
2. Read Picture1
T: Let’s read more about this story. (出圖1) There was a lion in the forest. He was very large and strong.
T: So look at the animals, the monkey, the rabbit and the squirrel were all running. Why?
S: Because the lion was coming.
T: What would the animals say? S: …(想象說一說)
T: Now I’m the lion. You are the animals. Let’s act.
T: (動作) I’m the lion. I’m large and strong. All the animals are afraid of me. Look! Here are some animals. I want to eat you. S: (站起來表演小動物,作逃跑狀) Don’t eat me!
T: All of the animals are afraid of me. How about the little mouse?
設計意圖:故事的學習離不開圖片的輔助,圖文結合去理解故事,同時引導學生進行根據圖片的提示發揮想象,豐富故事的內容,也為后面的表演做鋪墊。 3. Read P2
(聽第二段)T: When the mouse walked by, what was the lion doing? How do you know? S: Woke up.
T: Explain in English or use body language.
T: The lion caught the mouse, and he was very angry. What would he say? S: (自由想象,說一說)What are you doing, now? I was sleeping, you woke me up. (圖2) T: But look at this picture, was he angry? He was laughing. What were they talking about? ( 出示后面幾句對話)Who can read the dialogue? S: 請兩生嘗試讀對話。
T: Look! The mouse was very afraid, so how did he say? Let’s listen. (播放老鼠的話,學生聽并感受,出示said the mouse quietly) teach: quietly(小聲地), so can you read quietly? Let’s try.
T: How about the lion? Did he laugh quietly? No. Let’s listen. (播放獅子的話,學生聽并感受,出示laughed the lion loudly). teach: loudly Can you read? S: 齊讀獅子的話。
T: Can you read like them? Read in pairs. S: Read. (請幾組同學分角色再讀一讀)
T: So then, the lion let the mouse go. Did he think the mouse could help him? But he was wrong.
設計意圖:本部分故事的講解,主要通過想一想、讀一讀、演一演來進行,通過這些形式學習副詞及其意義。 4. Read P3-5
T: What happened then? Let’s read P3-5, try to ask some questions about it in groups. You can use these words.(出示一些疑問代詞) 要求: 讀第7頁,組內試著根據故事內容相互提問并回答。 S: Read and discuss in groups.
T: Just now, you asked some questions. Now, let’s play ‘Tic-tac-toe’. Group A asks, and Group B answers, if you can answer correctly, you can mark the space. (課前和學生做一做這個游戲,課上不再講規則,直接出示棋盤。) If you win the games, you can get 3 points.
T: So which group answers first? Rock paper scissors, go! S: 游戲。
T: Let’s listen and repeat.
(在跟讀的過程中,教授net,bit,sadly,happily)
設計意圖:學生不僅要能能回答問題,更要培養他們提問的能力,尤其是能根據文章內容用適當的疑問詞來提問。所以本部分的教學我設計了一個游戲活動,激勵讓學生在游戲中相互提問并回答。這是一個開放的環節,但同時也要基于對文本的理解,同時鍛煉學生的小組合作,傾聽理解以及表達能力。
5. T: I think you know a lot about the story. Now, let’s read and order. (P8練習一) S: Read, order then check.
6. T: Here are some questions, try to think about them. Q1: If the lion eats the mouse, what will happen? Q2: Will the lion laugh at the other weak animals? S: Discuss in pairs.
7. (學生回答后一一出示) Helping others is helping ourselves. (幫助別人就是幫助自己). Don’t look down upon the weak.(不要小瞧弱者)
設計意圖:伊索寓言都有蘊含的道理,通過兩個問題引出兩個道理,給學生情感上的正確引導。
D. Show time
1. T: Do you like the story? Let’s try to act it out. You can add some dialogues according to the story.
角色分配: lion, mouse, the other animal, Narrator
1. 按課文表演故事。
2. 可根據人物的心理,適當增加對話。
3. 結合動作和語氣表現人物的情緒。
設計意圖:故事表演是學生喜聞樂見的環節。經過之前的滲透,對于故事中人物的動作、語言、心理的理解,表演起來更加輕松。
Homework:
1. Listen and read the story.
2. Complete Reading Notes of this story.
3. Try to make a short play according the story and write it down.
