教學目標 After this lesson, students will be able to 
1.Understand the three main elements of novels 2.Know the standards for summary assessment 3.Understand the American adventure spirit  
4.Organize a book fair to introduce a book about adventure life in the United States.  
 
 
教學環(huán)節(jié) 學習活動 設(shè)計意圖 讀前 
1.Read the Mississippi River facts. 
 
 
讀前活動一： 以課前作業(yè)的形式讓學生閱讀美國的密西西比河的歷史以及它對于美國發(fā)展的意義，了解小說的地理背景。 
 
                    
             
                    
                            2.Read the history of the states around the 19th century 
 
 
 
讀前活動二： 讓學生閱讀19世紀美國歷史，主要事件是南北戰(zhàn)爭和奴隸制度的廢除。目的是讓學生了解哈克貝利歷險
記的社會背景。 
3.Read the introduction of Mark Twain on page 29  
 
讀前活動三： 讓學生閱讀文化角馬克吐溫的介紹，了解小說的作者。 
4.Read the novel---The adventures of Huckleberry Finn. 
 
讀前活動四： 給學生一定時間讀哈克貝利歷險記，體會小說內(nèi)容。 
 
                    
             
                    
                            5. Write a summary of the novel.  
讀前活動五：讓學生根據(jù)自己體會寫一份小說概要。 
讀中 1在地圖中畫出馬克吐溫青年時期生活軌跡 
 
讀中活動一： 地圖連線，展現(xiàn)Mark Twain 青年時期的生活軌跡，從而體現(xiàn)  The lives of writers resemble the lives of the characters they create.  
2. 初步探討adventure的實質(zhì) 
What’s adventure?  
讀中活動二：  初步探討冒險的本質(zhì) 
3. 讀the steamboat 片段分析小說的setting , plot, character                         
讀中活動三： 對小說的片段進行分析，有助于學生了解小說的主題。（用本單元的語義網(wǎng)）         
讓學生總結(jié)描述人的形容詞，進行人物描寫訓練。（詞匯語義網(wǎng)訓練）
