a. To encourage students to understand the reading passage and find out the topic sentences in each paragraph.
b. To help the students get familiar with the body language mentioned
in the text Teaching methods:
Group discussion, question-answering in class and mine acting and guessing. Teaching aids:
A dao-xue-an, a computer and a whiteboard Teaching difficulties:
1. Understanding of the reading passage
2. Making use of the body language they have learnt in their mine. 3. The correct using of the body language. Teaching Procedure: A. Lead in.
Give the students to act out the activities they are given in body language.
B. Fast reading.
Help the students to find out the topic sentences in each paragraph. C. Careful reading
1. Discuss 3 questions according to the text. 2. Discuss the smiles mentioned in the text
3. Ask the students to list out all the body languages mentioned in the text and write them down on the small white boards in each group. 4. Check their answers. D. Mime acting. E. Summary
It’s very necessary to learn the body languages we’ve studied by heart so that we can understand each other better. F. Homework.
Finish the exercise on P47-50 in Jinbanxuean.
