Teaching Plan
Teaching objectives:
Help students learn to polish their writing task especially after a test;
Help students have a review of the basic steps to write a good composition;
Help students collect some useful vocabulary to describe the location and some common phrases that
help to enhance coherence of the writing;
Guide students to learn from each other through discussion and presentation; Arouse students’ interest and confidence in writing by cooperative learning.
Teaching focus:
Help students form the good habit of writing with five basic steps and polishing their writing before the final edition.
Teaching difficulty:
How to polish the writing efficiently.
Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in
Show the class the writing task they completed in the monthly test and review what they have learn about writing the similar topic. Step 2 Presentation
Present the five-step writing procedure. Use some easy tasks to help them get into the habit of writing that way.
Help students collect some useful vocabulary to describe the location and some common phrases that help to enhance coherence of the writing. Step 3 Appreciation
Give the class a reference writing and help them to appreciate some good expressions in it.
Give the class some good examples written by some of them and help them learn to appreciate good writings. Step 4 Practice
Give students two selected compositions. They need choose one and discuss in groups about how to polish it. Grammar mistakes and improper expressions are both what they need to deal with. They can write down their suggestions on the learning sheet first and exchange the opinions later. Step 5 Presentation
Invite representatives of two or three groups to have a presentation. Make comments if necessary. Step 6 Homework (Choose one)
A: Rewrite the task again. (Encourage them to write with their own style). B: Write a new one shown on the learning sheet.

Step 3 由詞擴句雛形現(xiàn)
1. 最近，我碰巧看到一個80平方米的公寓，它可能適合你。

3. 四季花園小區(qū)位于民族南路和修業(yè)路交匯的十字路口。

Step 4 句式升級造亮點
5. 把句3改為復合句，含分詞短語
6. 把句4改為含復合句，含定語從句
Step 5 過渡銜接聯(lián)成篇 常用銜接詞歸納： 1) 表層次:
firstly, to begin with, for one thing... secondly, still, furthermore, for another... thirdly, next, besides, in addition, what's more... finally, last but not least... 2) 表轉折和讓步；
on the contrary, however, nevertheless, on the other hand, yet,
