袁隆平是一位農業方面的科學家,使十億多人免于饑餓。他很小的時候就寧愿待在自家的農場里研究莊稼。那時候,饑餓是一件令人煩惱的事情。因此,他決定使人擺脫饑餓。為與饑餓作斗爭,他幫助窮人提高農作物產量。由于他的努力,墨西哥的小麥產量提高了并且出口到別的國家。結果,他因在與饑餓作斗爭中所做出的貢獻而獲得了諾貝爾和平獎。

Yuan Longping was an agricultural scientist who kept as many as one billion people free from hunger. He would rather stay on his family farm studying crops when he was very young,and at that time,hunger was a disturbing problem. Therefore he was determined to rid people of hunger. He helped poor people
improve the output of their crops to struggle against hunger. Thanks to his effort,Mexico increased its wheat output and exported wheat to other countries. As a result,he won the Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions in struggling against hunger.

1.動詞-ing形式作主語,通常位于句_首_,謂語動詞用_單_數形式,其復合結構的構成方式為:名詞所有格/形容詞性物主代詞+V-ing ,其中形容詞性物主代詞/名詞所有格是V-ing形式的_邏輯主語。
2.用_it作_形式主語, 真正的_主____語(整個動詞-ing形式短語)位于句__末___。
3.在___there is no... 結構中做主語。 常用it 做形式作主語的句型有:
It is a waste of time/money doing sth 做……是浪費時間/金錢的 It is no good/use /fun doing sth ……沒好處/用處/意思 It is worthwhile /useless doing sth ……是值得的/無用的 在There is no......結構中,通常用V-ing形式做主語。常見句型有: There is no sense doing 做……沒有道理/ There is no point doing 干……無意義 There is no pleasure doing 做......沒有樂趣注意: There is no need to do sth 干……沒必要,在此句式中to do不可換為doing.
eg: There is no need to tell her. 沒有必要告訴她。

接動詞-ing作賓語的動詞(短語),記憶歌謠: 建議考慮堅持練,允許想象棄冒險; Suggest,advise, consider,insist on , practise Permit , allow, imagine , give up, risk 阻止抵抗否逃脫,不禁介意保持完; prevent, resist, deny, escape can’t help, mind, keep, finish 耽誤推遲求原諒,承認錯過欣喜歡 Delay, put off, require, forgive , excuse Admit, miss, appreciate, enjoy
