一、教學內容分析
本單元的中心話題是人類當今面對的環境問題，主要探討了“全球變暖”和“節約能源”等方面的問題。而Using Language這一課時是在前面Reading部分學生已經初步了解了global warming的現象、原因以及影響的基礎上，通過歐陽光給Earth Care寫信就What can we do about global warming?這一問題請求幫助和Earth Care提供的具體措施，讓學生討論并提出更多的建議，為后面的海報設計和寫作提供充分的材料。也讓他們意識到環境問題，人人有責。
二、教學目標
語言目標：掌握詞匯表中的單詞和短語；理解兩封信的內容。 技能目標：了解掌握書信類文章的結構特點和閱讀技巧。
培養在書信類文章中尋找信息的能力。 了解海報的制作
情感目標：通過學習能認識到全球變暖問題，人人有責，節能減排，刻不容緩。
三、學習者特征分析
本班學生經過兩年的高中學習，已具備一定的語言基礎，學習積極性較高，參與性較強。課前翻轉任務有二：１.觀看記錄片an inconvenient truth，更多地了解global warming。２.觀看微課，結合記錄片內容制作海報（小組合作）。這兩項作業在課前都完成得不錯。為課堂學習節省了時間并提供了素材。

But the most important is to turn the knowledge into action, to change some familiar patterns or habits, to do what we can do and to influence people around us.) But how?
