教學目標
本節課結束時,學生將能夠:
1. 運用預測、細讀的閱讀技巧獲取刑偵畫像師這一職業的相關信息;
2. 通過上下文明確文中代詞的指代關系,并體會恰當使用代詞的好處;
3. 簡要介紹自己未來的理想職業。
2學情分析
授課班級初一1班是實驗班,共有學生36人,班內學生具有學好英語的美好愿望,大部分學生具有一定的語言基礎并且能夠按照教師的要求進行課堂學習和作業鞏固;但是,學生課上口頭表達的積極性有待提高。
學生在小學已經接觸過本單元部分描述外貌的詞匯。在學習本課之前,又通過Section A和Section B第一部分中話題相關詞匯及語法的學習及周末作業用思維導圖總結整理描寫人物的話題詞匯等方式,學生對于人物外貌這個話題已有一定的認知和語言知識積累,所以本課時沒有在人物外貌描述方面投入過多時間,而是從閱讀文本中刑偵畫像師這一職業入手引導學生關注工作內容和從事該職業需要具備的素質。學生平時閱讀時積累了一定的閱讀方法和技巧,為本課閱讀也作好了鋪墊。在此基礎上閱讀本課,從知識和技能的角度來說,學生需要使用閱讀技巧獲取文章相關信息;從思維的角度來說,學生需要深入思考成為一名刑偵畫像師所需具備的素質;從人文情感的角度來說,學生開始思考規劃未來職業。
3重點難點
教學重點:獲取、理解和分析刑偵畫像師職業的相關信息。
教學難點:簡要介紹自己的理想職業。

1. Read the passage to check their prediction and then underline the answers to the three questions.

Work in pairs and have a discussion: If one of your friends wants to be a police artist, what qualities/character should he/she have?
活動4【練習】補充閱讀
1. Read the extended reading and fill in the form on the handout.
2. Students make a summary with the teacher. Guess what job is introduced.

1. Exchange information about their dream job and ask their partner to guess.
2. Give a brief introduction to the dream job and others listen and try to guess.
