Unit 5 Why do you like pandas ?

Teacher : Wu Hui Ⅰ.Teaching objectives: a.Knowledge objectives:
(1) Key words: smart, beautiful, lazy, small, friendly, cute, scary, shy. (2) Key structures: --What animals do you like?
--I like tigers/… .Because they are friendly/… . b. Ability objectives:
(1)Train the students to use the target language to describe the animals freely. (2)Train the students’ listening and speaking skills with the target language. c. Emotion objectives: Students can use correct words to describe their favorite
animals, and let them know that the animals are people’s friends; We should love and protect them.
Ⅱ.Teaching important points:
a. Master description words and sentence patterns.
b. To give students practice in listening ,speaking and writing.
c. Students can express their own ideas about their favorite animals freely. Ⅲ. Teaching difficult points:
Students can use the structure to describe the animals and express preference and reasons freely.

1. Listen and guess the names of the animals.
(設計意圖:通過聽動物的聲音猜動物的名字,以激趣的方式來復習鞏固已學動物名稱。)
2. Lead-in.

(設計意圖:通過“砸金蛋游戲”這個環節,在復習上節課學過的重點句型
中過渡到今天的重要的形容詞學習,在這個環節中,通過分組表演形式來激趣,能讓學生更好的理解和掌握形容詞,為后面新學形容詞和句子做了更好的鋪墊。)
b. Watch videos.
(設計意圖:通過看大象和熊貓的小視頻,來過渡到今天新學的形容詞friendly,shy.)
c. 1a. Match the description words with the animals.
(設計意圖:通過此環節來理解和鞏固形容詞。)
d. Discussion.(1d)
Look at the pictures and discuss in groups. What animals do you like? Why?
(設計意圖:在這個環節中,通過展示圖片,并使用采訪活動,來讓學生用所學過的字-詞-句來描述自己對動物的喜愛及理由,更好的學習和鞏固本節課的重點句型。)

Animals are our good friends.
但是部分缺少良知的人卻為了個人利益大量宰 殺我們的朋友.請同學們設計一份海報呼吁 全世界的人都來保護我們的朋友.
