【教學目標】

【教學重難點】
重點:
進行聽、說的訓練來掌握更多動物的名稱及描述特性的形容詞。 難點:
進行聽力訓練,提高學生們聽對話獲取相關信息的能力。
【教學過程】
Step1 . Warming- up .
1. Show some pictures about some kinds animals and review the words in Section A. Ask a question “What animals do you know?”, then let the students say the words about animals quickly.
2. Show a video about a little dog, and ask a question “What can the little dog do?”

and “What do you think of the little dog?”. It can help the students review the phrases about the daily activities, and lead in the new words of this lesson. Step 2: Presentation.
1. Ask the students a question “ Do you have any pets in your home?”, then show my pet to the students and tell them my feeling about my pet: lovely, beautiful, smart…
2. Then show some other pictures of animals and let them think a question “What do you think of the animals? , let the students use some words to describe them. 3. Let Ss read aloud the new words and expressions. Step 3 Work on 1a.
1. Pay attention to the animals in the picture in 1a and ask a student to say the name of each one.
2. Point out the list of eight numbered adjectives below.
T: Now please match the adjectives with the animals in the picture. Write the letter of the animal on the line after the adjective. Point out the sample answer.
3. As students work, move around the room offering to answer questions as needed. 4. Correct the answers. Step 4 Work on 1b.
1. T: Now I will play a recording of a conversation between Tony and Maria. This time circle the adjectives you bear on the list for la. 2. Ss listen and try to circle the adjectives in 1a.
3. Play the recording again for the Ss to check the answers. Step 5. Work on 1c.
1. Call attention to the three headings. Animal, Maria's Words and Tony's Words, and the write-on lines under each.

2. Say, Now I will play the recording again. This time please write the name of the animals each person talks about and the words they say.
3. Play the first four lines of recording and stop the tape. Ask, What animal are they talking about? What words does Mary use to describe the elephant? Point out the write-on lines where students can write these words.
4. Play the whole recording and have students write the words they hear on the chart. 5. Check the answers. Step 6. Pair work
1. let the students use the words in the box to describe the animals. Use sentences like the example to say what you think about different animals and make their own conversations..
2. Ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class. Step 7 Group work
1. Do a survey in groups and complete the chart, then make a report. The example just like this:
I like pandas because they’re cute and smart. Tom likes koalas because they’re friendly, but he doesn’t like tigers because they’re very scary. 2. Ask some groups to present their report to the class.
3. After that, Show some pictures about killing animals, and encourage the students to love and save some animals in danger. Say to all students “We should love and protect our friends and family members”. Step 8 Homework
1. Write the report on the exercise book.
2. Preview the new words and the passages in 3a-3c.
