一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:

聽力訓練以及口語輸出訓練。 三、教學過程 I. Revision 1. Daily greeting. 2. Review.
Rewrite the sentences using passive voice. II. Presentation
1. Present the new words on the big screen and learn the new words together. international adj. 國際的
e.g. The kilogram is the international standard of weight. 公斤是國際通用的重量標準。 competitor n. 參賽者;競爭者 compete (動詞)+ or → competitor (名詞) e.g. We can compete with the best teams.
我們能與最好的隊競爭。
Each competitor should wear a number.
每個比賽者必須佩戴一個號碼。 2. Ss read and try to remember the new words. III. Warming up
Present some pictures and ask some questions: What are they called in English? What is the best time for flying a kite? What kind of weather is good for flying a kite? IV. Pre-listening Work on 1a
1. Do you know how to fly a kite? What are kites made of? Write down some materials used in making kites.
2. Let Ss discuss about it and write down their answers. Then check the answers together.
3. Present another picture about Weifang Internation Kite Festival. Then ask students questions:
Do you know where it is? Have you ever heard of Weifang? What is it known for? Now let’s enjoy a fragment of Weifang International Kite Festival. After watching, ask questions:
How do you feel about the kite festival? Do you want to take part in it? V. While-listening Work on 1b:
1. Tell Ss to listen to a conversation between Laura and Zheng Yun and circle the correct answers.
2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle the correct answers. 3. Check the answers: Work on 1c:
1. Let Ss read the sentences in 1c first. Tell Ss to listen again and write L for Laura or
Z for Zheng Yun.
2. Play the recording again for the Ss to listen and write the words. 3. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to write down their answers. 3. Check the answers with the class. Work on 1d
Listen again and fill in the blanks with what you hear. Ss listen and try to write down their answers: Check the answers with the Ss. VI. Post- reading
1. Rewrite the listening material and fill in the blanks. 2. Role-play.
1) Read the dialogue aloud for a few minutes by yourself.
2) Ask students to work in groups to role-play a conversation between Laura and Zheng Yun using the information in 1b - 1d. List some questions for reference:
Where did you go on vacation? Did you go to Weifang? Is Weifang in Shandong? What is Weifang famous for? Is it famous for kites or bikes? What did you see there? Did you see many kinds of kites? What happened at the festival? Did people compete in kite flying? What are the kites made of? Are they made of silk or paper? Invite each group to show themselves. VII. Exercises.
Homework.
Review the new words and expressions we’ve learnt today. Preview the acticle Beauty in Comon Things on Page 38.
