一、Teaching Content
This lesson is in“Go for it”English Grade 9 Book,Unit 5 What are the shirts made of Section B (1a-1e),it’s the third part, talking about the kites. It’s a listening and speaking lesson. Before listening,having a preparation to take in and consolidate the
Passive

in
making ...”besides,learn some vocabularies about materials. This part including three different listening tasks. 1b is listening for main idea; 1c and 1d are listening for more detail information about kites; while 1e is the output part .
二、Analysis of the students
The students in Grade nine are familiar with “the kites”,they also learn more information about the international kites festival is held in Weifang, Shandong every April, so the teacher can show a short video to lead in the new lesson more easily and naturally,while the students can use the sentence structures which are learned in last period to talk about some materials are used in making kites.Having a good preparation before listening, as well as the output activity.
三、Teaching Objectives
1. Knowledge Objects:
To be able to master the key vocabularies: international, competitor, pain
To be able to master the key sentences:
1) The international kite festival is held in Weifang every year.
2) The competitors at the festival are from all over the world.
2. Ability Objects:
1) To be able to use the sentences structures“ be made of.. ”to express some materials are used in making kites;
2) To be able to understand the listening practice in 1b and1c ,then finish the listening task correctly;
3) To be able to use sentence structures and some detail information to finish 1e the output activity.
3. Moral Objects:
1)Arouse students’ learning interest and be active in class teaching;
2) Learn more traditional or folk arts and what are they made of , also cultivate students’ sense of culture.

Step 1. Lead-in:
(1) Greet the students’ as usual;
(2) Show a real kite to students.
(3) Play a video about the Weifang, the World's Capital of Kites”
(1) Greet the teacher.
(2) Look the kite 、touch the kite and think about its material.
(3) Enjoy the video, and think about the questions . 1. 通過在輕松的交際問候中,讓學生輕松進入課堂。
2. 通過觸摸真實的風箏來談論材料,為引入本課做鋪墊。
2.通過看視頻山東濰坊風箏節導入課程,很自然讓學生進入課堂,關注本堂課的主要內容。
Step 2. words and sentences (1) Show some pictures about kites.
(2) Ask students if he or she can fly a kite.
(1) Look at the pictures and think about the
materials used in making kites.
(2) Ask one or two students to show how to fly a kite in front of the class.

Step 3.Ask students to write some materials about making kites,then finish 1 a.,after that ask students to speak out the materials, the teacher write down them on the
blackboard,and ask them to read.

通過寫材料讓學生了解做風箏的材料以及怎樣使用被動語態來談論風箏制作材料。

Listening for the main idea , then check the answers.
Finish 1b, listen and circle
the right answers.
通過聽完成兩個主旨大意選擇,讓

Step 5. Listening Practice Activity 1c
(1) Show some statements. (2) Listening for some
information about Laura and Zheng Yun.
(3) Check the answers. (1) Look at the
statements, and listen; (2) Finish the task by wrting L for Laura and Z for Zheng Yun.
(3) Check the answers and read together.
這是繼1b聽主旨大意的基礎上,繼續聽了解一些關于主人公“Laura and Zheng Yun的信息,為后面的聽力任務順利進行做鋪墊。
Step 6. Listening Practice Activity 1d
T: Let’s listen some more details about the kites festival.
(1) Listen and fill in the blanks.
(2) Share their answers with other students. (3) Read together. 通過聽,完成一些細節信息題,讓學生更好的了解濰坊的國際風箏節。同時通過齊讀,提升學生口語表達能力。
Step 7. Listen and repeat
(1) Look at the PPT;
(2) Listen to the recording and repeat the sentences one by one.
學生通過看PPT,再次對聽力內容及人物角色對話有整體的了解,再通過聽一句模仿一句來訓練學生聽和說的表達能力。
Step 8. Fill in blanks
(1) Look at the blanks carefully then fill the key words in the blanks. (2) Read together. 對聽力內容加工處理讓學生填寫關鍵詞,為后面的輸出做鋪墊。
Step 9.Role-play
(1) Use the sentences sample and a kite festival mind map
when\how\who\where\what to make a conversation with partner (2) Act out.
(3) Then make a report about kite festival. 通過1a 聽前準備,1b,1c,1d三個不同聽力任務的設置與目標逐個達成,層層推進,由淺入深,從聽主旨大意到更多細節信息的獲取,為學生在完成1e前做了大量的輸入,讓學生掌握更多信息,較容易完成,同時由角色扮演升華到寫作可謂是聽、說、寫有機結合。對學生要求由低到高。
Step 10 Summary
(1) Summarize the words and sentences have learned.
(2) Summarize the listening skills in this lesson.
讓學生鞏固本節課所學內容。
Step 11 Homework
1.Read the listening materials again after class.
2.Find some traditional or folk arts in your hometown.
3.Preview Beauty in Common Things.
