Teaching objectives:
1.Learn the ways to protect ourselves from a fire. 2.Write an article on “How to Protect Yourself in a Fire”according to 1a.
Teaching procedure:
Step1: Pre-writing 1. Review the ways to protect yourself .
1) Watch the video and fill in the blanks to review the ways.
2) Read 2-3 paragraphs and choose the best phrases to learn the ways.
3) Try to find out the missing words and let the students know different situations, different ways. 2. Be read for writing.
1) Ask a question to lead to the fire.
“If you are there when a fire happens, how can you protect yourself?”
2) Learn the ways to write a passage on “How to Protect Yourself in a Fire”.
①Understand the parts(the ways and the topic) that make up the title. It’s the first step to use for writing.
②Find out the key words、phrases according to know what they do in2a.
③Let them complete the sentences to learn the third step for writing.
④Make the sentences more and more beautiful . Learn to write the ways on protecting yourself in a fire, try to make the sentences into the whole paragraph.
⑤Put the different parts together, your writing will be ready.
Step2: While-writing
1.Let the leader of each group give the tasks to the teammates.
2.Write the passage in a group of 6 students after reading the outline. Step3: Post-writing
1.Correct with each other. 2.Evaluate with each other. 3.Share the good works.
