一、 教材分析:
本課是M11的第三單元,是對(duì)本模塊的語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用階段。本課內(nèi)容安排與學(xué)生的生活緊密相連,也是他們很感興趣的話(huà)題。引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在課堂上發(fā)揮豐富的想象力,把課堂模擬成生活,置身于英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中,提高語(yǔ)言交際能力,有利學(xué)生英語(yǔ)學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)的養(yǎng)成. 二、學(xué)情分析
對(duì)于八年級(jí)的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō),部分學(xué)生已經(jīng)有了一定的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)基礎(chǔ),掌握了一點(diǎn)英,美國(guó)家日常生活中的不同傳統(tǒng)特點(diǎn)。但大部分學(xué)生對(duì)于西方國(guó)家的旅游勝地,風(fēng)土人情和傳統(tǒng)生活所知甚少,因而詞匯量和信息量可能會(huì)偏大,加之學(xué)生英語(yǔ)成績(jī)的分化比較嚴(yán)重,所以要求學(xué)生能課前認(rèn)真做好預(yù)習(xí),借助網(wǎng)絡(luò)和書(shū)籍,了解中英/美傳統(tǒng)生活的特點(diǎn)和差異,培養(yǎng)自學(xué)能力。 三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
知識(shí)與技能目標(biāo):
1、能夠正確使用情態(tài)動(dòng)must, mustn’t, can, can’t, need, needn’及其一般疑問(wèn)句的用法和回答;
2、能夠聽(tīng)懂介紹生活習(xí)慣的聽(tīng)力材料并能夠讀懂有關(guān)不同國(guó)家生活方式的短文并可以掌握關(guān)鍵信息;
3、能夠談?wù)撝形鞣降娘L(fēng)俗習(xí)慣和校規(guī)、家規(guī)并能夠用英文表達(dá)關(guān)于禮儀文化的建議意見(jiàn); 過(guò)程與方法目標(biāo):
1.通過(guò)錄音,初步了解關(guān)于他人生活的規(guī)則,理解并對(duì)所聽(tīng)內(nèi)容作出判斷。
2.通過(guò)閱讀有關(guān)不同生活方式話(huà)題的語(yǔ)篇,體驗(yàn)can, can’t, must和mustn’t ,need和needn’t的基本含義,并獲取語(yǔ)篇細(xì)節(jié)信息。
3.通過(guò)個(gè)人表述,小組合作,書(shū)面填空及提出建議等語(yǔ)言輸出活動(dòng),運(yùn)用can, can’t, must和mustn’t, need和needn’t談?wù)摬煌瑖?guó)家的生活規(guī)則,感受不同國(guó)家的生活習(xí)慣和方式。 情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀目標(biāo):
學(xué)生通過(guò)對(duì)本課的學(xué)習(xí),更好的了解了中西方的文化差異,懂得如何尊重他國(guó)文化,養(yǎng)成良好的跨文化意識(shí)。同時(shí)學(xué)生也可以感受到,不同國(guó)家的人們生活在一個(gè)地球上,雖然有著不同,但正因?yàn)檫@些不同,才使我們的生活更加多姿多彩。 四、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)
教學(xué)重點(diǎn):加強(qiáng)對(duì)中西方文化差異的理解;理解can, can’t,must和mustn’t,need和needn’t 的含義及用法
教學(xué)難點(diǎn):運(yùn)用can , can’t, must和mustn’t ,need和needn’t給國(guó)外客人訪(fǎng)問(wèn)中國(guó)家庭提出建議。 五、教學(xué)活動(dòng)
Ⅰ.Warming up/Lead-in
1. Guessing game. Let seven students to describe the things (don’t say out what they are)and other
students to guess what they are. Finally, give a gift which was wrapped to a student to lead the topic through asking and answering.
T:This is a gift for all of you. Now I’ll give it to the monitor. You can open it immediately. S: No, I will open it later. T: Why?
S:Because it is our tradition.
2. Complete the sentences with the words or expressions in the box. Ⅱ. Revision and Expansion
1. Watch a video about Spring Festival in China.
2. Review the traditions in China mentioned in Unit1.(Fill in the blanks)

Ⅲ Summary of the model verbs and the using of them
Summarize the model verbs and the sentence patterns of positive sentences, negative and general sentences.
Positive sentences: can must need Negative sentences: can’t mustn’t needn’t
General sentences: Can you…? Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
Must you…? Yes, I must./ No, I needn’t. Need you ….? Yes, I must./ No, I needn’t.
Ⅳ Practice and Presention
1. Complete the conversation with can/can’t, must/mustn’t and need/needn’t.(Students complete the
dialogue individually and then the group leader check the answers. Work in pairs to read the dialogues)
① DM: Can you drive a car at the age of seventeen in England? Tony: Yes, we ______. How about in China? DM : No, we ________.
② LL: Can you drive on the right-hand side of the road in England?
