Objectives:
At the end of the class, students are expected to
1)understand the new words in the context such as hard-working, silly, disappointed;
2)have a better understanding of the story by skimming and scanning and further understand the
meaning behind the story by critical thinking;
3)realize the importance of working hard for a better life.
Teaching focus:
1. to guide students to analyze the personalities of the two characters 2. to inspire students to think critically and learn from the story that:
1) we should work hard for a better future; 2) we help others when they are in trouble;
3) we should give people who have made mistakes another chance.
Possible learning difficulty:
To describe the characters in the story with good reasoning and clear logic

Brainstorm the features of different seasons and how students feel about them
