Teaching procedures: Step one Pre-reading
1、Greeting 和同學們簡單問候
2、Talking about the cover: What can you see from the cover?從封面開始了解故事,從封面中獲取相關的信息。
3、Let’s share:What do you know about the story?
課前孩子已經進行了適當的預習,教師應該尊重孩子的已知,提出這個開放性的問題,也是從整體上理解故事,學生在此項活動中,可以用自己的語言描述故事中的內容,對他們語言表達也提高了要求。 Step two While-reading
1、Part1 :Finding the card
T: Milu finds the card. How does he feel? Ss: He feels excited.
T: What does he do after he finds the card.
Ss:He picks it up and laughs, he shouts excitedly and puts it in his backpack.(呈現backpack和a magic card) Let’s act(Milu and narrator)
從故事的第一部分入手,進行細讀,引導孩子了解Milu發現card的心情,已經之后的一系列動作,通過動作表演的方式讓學生感知故事內容,增加趣味性,達到很好的學習效果。
2、Part 2 Asking for advice
T:Where is Milu? Is it a map of China? What countries or cities do you know from the map?
T:Milu asks three people for advice, who are they? (板書人物)
Let’s discuss: Work in pairs and choose one person to discuss, try to find out what are the wonderful places in their eyes and the reasons why?
Dad: Sydney The sea is nice. He swam and surfed in it. He loves water sports. He loves Australian football match. It is exciting. 教師反饋時板書。
The students watch a short video about Australian football.

Sister: Hong Kong She had a lot of fun. She went to Ocean Park and Disneyland.教師反饋時板書。

Mr Webb: Many places are great,because each city has its beauty. Neighbor: people who lives near you.
Traveler: people who loves travelling very much. Act in pairs ( Milu and Mr Webb)
Mr Webb is showing his albums to Milu, can you see the albums on the floor. Let’s look at one of them, it is open. There are three pictures in it. Can you introduce these pictures or anyone of them? Ss introduce the pictures.
T: Teach Tokyo Tower, Hula Dance, Oxford University.
Ss: Enjoy the video about Hula Dance, and Dance with the music.
The last one is about Oxford, what does Mr Webb say it is a dream university for many students all over the world?
It is nice but a little difficult. It looks like the clouds in the sky.
