3、Ss are able to read and act the story.
4、Ss can introduce their school to others in English. Teaching important points:
1、Ss are able to use the sentence patterns “Is this…? Is that…?” and answer the questions. 2、Ss can read and act the story. Teaching difficult points:
Students can use the words and sentence structures to introduce their school. 三、教學準備
PPT,Zoom、Zip、Mr Hippo、Monkey、Rabbit頭飾及卡通圖片,學校場所圖片,句型卡片。 四、教學過程
(一)Step One:Lead-in(3分鐘)
T:Good morning, boys and girls. Today we are going to meet a new friend. What’s his name? Ss: Mr Hippo.
T: Yes. He is Mr Hippo. What’s Mr Hippo’s job? Can you guess? Ss guess.
T: Mr Hippo is a teacher. Look! This is his school. Let’s watch a video to know more about his school.

T: What do you see in Mr Hippo’s school? Ss answer.
(二)Step Two: While-reading(22分鐘)
Read the pictures of 1-6 of the story with the students together. 1、Read picture 1 with students
T: Some animals come here. How many animals come to visit Mr Hippo’s school? Ss : Four. T: Who are they?
Ss: Zoom, Zip, the monkey and the rabbit. (在黑板貼四個小動物的卡通圖片。)
T:Mr Hippo is their guide today. He says “Welcome to our school. This way, please.” Look! This is his school. What do you think of it? Ss answer.
T: Yes. It’s beautiful. How beautiful!
Show two pictures of other places in Mr Hippo’s school and guide the students to say “How beautiful!” T:Now let’s listen and repeat.
(學生跟讀,點學生站起來表演,做出歡迎和引路的動作。) 2、Read picture 2 with students T: What can you see in the picture? Ss: A library, many books… T: Yes. What’s this? Ss: It’s a storybook. T: Who likes storybooks? Ss answer.
T: How about Zoom? Does Zoom like storybooks? Ss answer.
T: They are in the library. What does Mr Hippo say? Let’s listen. “This is the library.”(學生跟讀)
T: Who likes storybooks? Let’s check. It’s the monkey. (學生跟讀并模仿興奮指故事書的動作)
T: What’s Zoom thinking about? Let’s listen.
(三組合演此圖片對話;智慧教室搶答功能點三名學生上臺表演。)
3、Read picture 3 with students.
T: They come to the second place. What does the monkey ask? Ss guess.
T: Let’s listen and repeat.
(板書Is that…? Yes, it is. 師生一起進行對話練習。) 4、Read picture 4 with students. T: What can you see in the picture? Ss answer.
T: Let’s repeat after it.
(學生兩人一組對話,通過隨機點人功能選學生展示。) 5、Read picture 5 with students.
T: Look, we can see a computer in this room. Is this a computer room?(板書Is this …?No, it isn’t.) (全班分為兩大組表演次對話) 6、Choose
T: Where do they visit in Mr Hippo’s school?Please choose the answers quickly.
(用智慧教室測評功能的多選題讓學生選出小動物們參觀的地點。)
7、Read picture 6 with students.
T: It’s 12 o’clock. It’s time for lunch. Look! Who is missing? S: Zoom.
T: Where is Zoom? How do you know it?Circle the information on your pad.
(使用智慧教室測評中主觀題功能,讓學生圈出推論Zoom在哪兒的句子。) T:Now listen and repeat. (點四名學生共同表演此圖片) 8、Watch the whole story together. 9、Act the story in groups.
T:Now you can work in groups of five to act the story. (學生五人一組練習表演故事)OK! Time’s up. Which group can show us your story?(選一至兩組學生上臺表演) Step Three: Post-reading(14分鐘) 1、 Retell
T:It’s your turn to retell the story now. You can try it by yourself first.
(通過智慧教室分享靜態大屏幕,學生先自己復述,再通過搶答功能選一名學生回答,然后全班一起復述。) 2、 Moral education
T: Today we visit Mr Hippo’s school with these animals. What do you think of the story? Ss: It’s funny/interesting… T: Who is funny? Ss: Zoom.
T: Is he right? Can you learn from him?
Ss: No.
T: I hope you can remember that when you go out with a group, you can't leave without telling others. 3、Practice
T: Look! Mr Hippo comes to our school. Can you introduce our school to him? Here’s a video about our school. You can introduce with it. Firstly, let’s enjoy it. (全班共同觀看學校宣傳片) Now please make the English commentary for it. You can watch it on your pad and finish the task.
