2教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.Enable students to learn what body language is and the information it can convey.
2.To introduce the difference of body language in different countries.
3.To train the students’ reading and understanding, discussing ability.
3學(xué)情分析
本節(jié)課的教學(xué)班級(jí)是我校高二年級(jí)的一個(gè)重點(diǎn)班,人數(shù)60人。該班學(xué)生英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)較為扎實(shí),能夠熟練運(yùn)用本單元的重點(diǎn)詞匯,并且具備一定的口語(yǔ)表達(dá)能力,但是他們對(duì)于“身體語(yǔ)言與交流”之間的內(nèi)在關(guān)系并不是非常了解。
4重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)
Understanding the different ways of body language in different countries.
How to talk about body language.
5教學(xué)過程
5.1I. Warming up 1.Lead students to watch a video of “Mr Bean”. 2.Lead them to think about how he could make others laugh without saying anything. 3.Display some pictures of gestures, body movements and facial expressions. Let students guess the meaning of them. 4.Give out some different meanings of the same gestures.
5.1.1教學(xué)活動(dòng)
活動(dòng)1【導(dǎo)入】Pre-reading
Ask students to look at the picture on the page, and guess where the story will happen.
活動(dòng)2【講授】Fast reading
1. Ask students to find out the names and countries of the international students.
2. Ask students to divide the passage into four parts, and find out the main ideas of them.
活動(dòng)3【講授】Skimming
1.Ask students to find out key words to fill in the blanks about the two mistakes.
2. Ask students to have role-plays of the mistakes.
活動(dòng)4【講授】Listening
Listen to the audio of the passage , and answer three questions.
活動(dòng)5【講授】Careful reading
Ask students to read the passage loudly, and judge the following sayings are true or false.
活動(dòng)6【活動(dòng)】Discussion
Let students watch a video "Body language shapes who you are". Then ask students to discuss about the topic"How can you change your body language to improve yourself".
活動(dòng)7【練習(xí)】Activities
Ask students to work in groups of two. One holds the paper with information on it, the other uses body language to express it. Other students guess his or her meaning.
