I. Analysis of the Teaching material
The topic of this unit is borrowing money and it includes two parts, that is, why do people borrow money and how do people borrow. As high school students, the topic may a little bit difficult ,so to make students well understood it , the teacher gave as many chances as possible for students to discuss with classmates and did a survey from classmates. II. Teaching aims and demands 1.Knowledge objective
Make the students master the following words, phrases.
credit, deposit, security, portfolio, assets,loan, option, broker, penalty, investment, get a loan, repay a loan, service a loan, credit rating. 2.Ability objective
1)Students are able to improve the reading ability through reading activities.
2)Students are able to know the reasons as well as advantages and disadvantages of borrowing. 3)Students are able to get familiar with the steps of getting a loan.(Different loan types &conditions, options offered by the lenders, lending institutions,credit rating, ability to repay the loan)
3.Affective objective
Students are supposed to know both pros and cons of campus net loan. At the same time, students need to be cautious when meet with campus net loan. III. Teaching Important Points & Difficult Points 1.Learn the words and phrases listed above.
2.The topic of the text is difficult for high school students and they can’t use English to express themselves.
IV. Teaching procedures: Step I Lead in
To lead in the topic, a short play about campus net loan is put on. After the play, Ask students what lesson they have learned. Students are supposed to know the risk of borrowing money. Step II While-Reading Reasons for borrowing

V. Reflection
這堂課基本做到了把課堂讓給學生,讓學生在自主、合作、探究的氣氛中愉快度過,既順利完成教學任務,又促進其情感教育。這堂課的完成使我感到欣慰,值得我深思。
首先,良好的導入是整個課堂成功的一半,用學生自編自導的短劇導入,能夠緊緊抓住學生的心理和興趣,使課堂教學更具趣味性且更能引發學生思考。其次,考慮到教材難度比較大,而且本班學生相對基礎薄弱,詞匯積累不夠。因此教學內容的設計基本符合本班學生的實際情況,問題的設計著重指導學生如何捕捉主要信息,如何分辨有用信息和冗余信息并整合信息(如對貸款原因、申請貸款的方式和貸款種類的分類整理)。教師盡量采取多種形式讓學生參與課堂討論和思考,因此對于借錢的優缺點討論以及對周圍同學的調查可以充分調動學生的積極性,從而讓更多的學生參與到課堂中。
但是,本堂課也還存在一些不足,需要加以改進:
1、由于本堂課任務多,容量大,導致完成任務時間較緊,今后應注意教學步驟間的緊密銜接。
2、課堂閱讀時間不夠,遇到學生不理解時,應多引導,降低難度,留足時間,鼓勵學生大膽開口。
3、最后的寫作輸出由于時間有限,沒有進行過多的點評和展示,深表遺憾。
