教學目標
1. Knowledge goals:
1) Key vocabulary: result, percent, online, television, although, through, mind, body such, together, die, writer
Target languages:
And twenty percent do not exercise at all.
Most students use it for fun and not for homework.
The answers to our questions about watching television were also interesting.
Although many students like to watch sports, game shows are the most popular.
It’s healthy for the body and the mind.
Old habits die hard.
It’s good to relax by using the Internet or watching game shows, but we think the best way to relax is through exercise.
2. Ability goals:
1) To train students’ fast reading and intensive reading skills.
2) To train students’ communicative competence.
3. Moral goals:
Learn to form good daily habits. (2c 4,5)
Help students know more about each other and promote friendship.
2學情分析
本班級共有學生45人,多數(shù)學生升入初中前幾乎沒有英語基礎。經(jīng)過一年的學習,多數(shù)學生能聽懂有關熟悉話題的對話和簡短文章;能跟老師和同學就熟悉話題交換信息;能讀懂簡短文章,能就一定的話題作文。但是由于多種因素,少數(shù)學生基礎太差,對英語學習失去主動性。不過即便如此,這些學生也能在課堂跟住老師,并保證課堂紀律。整體上說,全班的英語學習積極性很高。

活動1【導入】Warmming up and leading in

設計意圖: 溫故知新,引出新課。
活動2【活動】Task1：2b Read the article and complete the pie charts
1.Read the article.
2.Complete the pie charts on page 14.
3.Check the information in their group and see if they are right. If not, help each other to solve them.
4.Ask three of them to share their information about the pie charts.
5,Ask some of the students to describe the pie charts.
E.g. 45 percent students exercise four to six times a week.
設計意圖:訓練學生集中精力快速閱讀,敏銳捕獲信息的能力 。
活動3【活動】Task2：2c Read again and answer the questions
1. What percent of the students do not exercise at all?
2. What percent of the students use the Internet every day?
3. How often do most students watch TV? What do they usually watch?
4. What does the writer think is the best way to relax? Why?
5. Do you think the students at No. 5 are healthy? Why or why not?
設計意圖:精讀獲得詳細信息,并能用英語組織語言,養(yǎng)成用英語思維的好習慣。
活動4【活動】Task3： 2e Group work
(Group work in 5) Choose one of these free time activities or think of your own. Then ask your group members how often they do this activity and make a pie chart. Make one show the pie chart to your class and talk about the results.

活動5【講授】Inquiry into knowledge
1. The answers to our questions about watching television ....
the answer to the question 意為“問題的答案”,固定搭配
2. Although many students like to watch sports,
although, 連詞,意為“雖然,盡管”,相當于though, 引導讓步狀語從句。在英語中although 或though不與but同時使用,但可以用yet或still連用。
e.g. 雖然他很累,但仍然繼續(xù)工作。
1) Although he was tired, he went on working.
2) He was tired, but he went on working.
3. It is good to relax by using the Internet
1) It is +adj. (for sb.) + to do …
“對于某人來說做某事是...的”,動詞不定式為句子真正主語。
E.g. 對我來說學好英語不難。
It’s not difficult for me to learn English well .
2) by doing sth. 意為“通過做某事”。by 介詞,意為“通過,靠”,表示方法、手段。其后可接名詞、代詞或動名詞。
a 他通過聽CD學英語
He learns English by listening to CDs.
b 她靠教書為生。
She makes a living by teaching.
4. ...but we think the best way to relax is through exercise.
the best way to relax, “放松最好的方式”,動詞不定式作后置定語
活動6【練習】The in－class test
1. Finish the test in ten minutes.
2. Ask students to check the answers.
