一、教材分析
《新目標英語》采用任務型教學模式,以單元為話題單位,與學生的實際生活密切相關,引導學生通過自主、合作、探究的學習方式,把所學內容與實際生活聯系起來,讓學生在輕松愉快的氛圍中學習真實的語言。“采用活動途徑,倡導體驗參與”,讓學生在教師有序的指導下,通過感知、體驗、參與和合作等方式,實現任務的目標,感受成功。《新目標英語》幾乎每一個單元都能設計一些活動,讓學生體驗,參與,學習語言。
本單元是新目標八年級下冊的第七單元(Unit7 What’s the highest mountain in the world?),主題是了解中國以及世界地理知識,Section B在Section A的基礎上,通過自然和文化的比較過渡到了動物之一話題。而2a-2e是一個閱讀板塊。閱讀材料是關于大熊貓的一報道,主要通過大量的小組活動,理解文章大意。通過歸納總結和練習的方式,進一步提高學生聽說讀寫綜合素質能力。 二、學生分析
八年級的學生英語水平參差不齊,部分學生具備較強的閱讀理解能力,而部分學生基礎較差,所以針對這種不同的學習需求,教師在設計課堂教學任務時必須注意基本核心語言材料并適當拓展。 三、教學目標
1、知識目標:學習掌握詞匯bamboo,endangered,research,keeper,awake,excitement,illness,remaining,wild,government,oil,protection,walk into,fall over .
2、能力目標:在語言輸入的同時完成語言輸出,在聽說讀寫譯中提高語言技能,提高綜合運用語言的能力。著重培養學生讀的能力:速讀,瀏覽,跳讀,精讀和任務型閱讀能力,還包括分析概括能力,語言表達能力,書寫能力,合作能力,溝通能力。
3、情感目標:通過了解大熊貓的生存狀態,喚起學生的愛心,進而意識到保護野生動物和保護生態環境是每個人的責任。
四、教學手段:本課采用任務型教學法,同時輔助多媒體教學。用音樂,視頻,圖片是抽象的語言變得直觀。
五、教學重點:掌握詞匯bamboo,endangered,research,keeper,awake,excitement,illness,remaining,wild,government,oil,protection,walk into,fall over .
六、教學難點:總結文章大意,對保護熊貓的討論。 七、教學步驟
StepⅠ: Warming-up activities .
Firstly,answer questions : Do you like animals? And why? Then let’s watch a video about pandas. StepⅡ : Pre-reading .
Work in your groups to have a discussion about pandas by using the words in 2a,and then the leader show your result.
StepⅢ:While-reading
Scan the article to find out what these numbers mean(find the whole sentence)10,12,200,2000 . StepⅣ :Careful-reading
Read the first two para.1--2 and answer these two questions. ① What’s Lin Wei’s job? ② What does she do every day?
③ What do the baby pandas have for breakfast? Read para.3 and answer the following questions. ① How often do pandas have babies?
② How much bamboo do adult pandas eat every day? ③ How many pandas are there living in the forests ? How many pandas are there in zoos or research centers? ④ Why are pandas endangered?
Read para.4 and answer the last two questions. ① What does the education program in Chengdu do? ② Why are scientists doing research?
Then according to the outline to retell the important part of this article. Step Ⅴ:Post-reading
