一、教學目標
1.要求掌握的重點詞匯:dragon, Dragon Boat Festival, any, other, other, young, child, children, miss, wish, delicious, still .
2閱讀文章,了解文章大意,學會翻譯句子
3.復習鞏固本單元所學知識,用所學描述他人正在進行的活動。 二、教學重難點
1.掌握、熟練本單元所學單詞、詞組及句型; 2.掌握本單元的重點----現在進行時態; 三、 教學準備 投影儀,PPT等。 四、教學步驟
Step 1 Greeting and Warming-up
T: I’m so happy to be your teacher in the class. You can call me Miss Xia. Now let’s play a chant. Follow me, please.
(You’re reading a book. Are you reading a book?.........) Step2 Before Reading
A: Show the learning aims and let students read and translate them .Show a map of the world. Then show the pictures of the time in different places and what people are doing.
T: When it is 8 a.m. , it’s 9 a.m. in Tokyo.(New York, Sydney) Let students repeat the sentences.
T: In different places, what are people doing ? SA: They’re exercising. SB: They’re going to school.

B: Play two short videos about the boat race and the Dragon Boat Festival and some pictures about the Dragon Boat Festival to learn some new wards and phrases and lead into the passage. ( the boat race, make zongzi, young Children….)
Step3 Show the picture of Zhu Hui and introduce him briefly.
This is Zhu Hui. He is from Shenzhen, but now he’s studying in the United States. He is living with his host family in New York.
(Today is Dragon Boat Festival, do you know what Zhu Hui is doing in New York?)
Step4 Fast Reading
What’s the main idea of the paragraph one / two? A: Activities of Zhu Hui’ s family in China B. How to make zongzi?
C. Activities of Zhu Hui’s host family
Give Students one minute to read and choose the right answers. Step5 Careful Reading
A: Listen to the tape, and underline the present progressive. B: Read paragraph one and two to fill the charts.

教學反思:七年級學生有了一定的語言基礎,但由于養成教育的缺乏,孩子們的認知、
理解、應用能力不同。學生實際應用能力需要提高,所以我盡可能的讓孩子們先理解故事大意,同時理解并能回答簡單問題,再讓學生細讀完成閱讀任務和相關習題練習,讓學生加深對課文理解,提高學生的復述能力并為寫作打好基礎。
本課重點培養學生的閱讀能力,并通過學習可以讓學生復述出簡單的故事。因此在教學中以閱讀常用的方法速度,詳讀,復述,完成任務貫穿整個課堂,讓學生一邊讀一邊獲取信息,順利完成任務給學生們增添了幾分信心,使他們體會到學習的樂趣。最后大部分學生都能完成學習任務,收效良好。
