Step 1 Revision
Revise the months and then ask and answer. Teacher’s activities 1. Ask students to talk about the months in a year. 2. Ask students to count and spell the months one by one. Students’ activities 1. Talk about the months in a year. 2. Count and spell the months. 3. Spell and check.
Purpose
Review the months in a year and lead to seasons.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Lead to Section A. 2. Present the new words. 3. Learn key points. Teacher’s activities
1. Play a song “Seasons in the sun” and invite students to sing this song. 2. Ask students to talk about the seasons in a year. T: How many seasons are there in a year?
3. Ask students to talk about the weather in different seasons. 4. Ask students to talk about outdoor activities in different seasons. T: Look at this picture. What’s the weather like in spring? T: What can we do in spring?
T: I think it’s a good season for flying kites. T: How is the weather in summer? T: What do you often do in a hot day? T: It’s a good time to go swimming. (Fall, winter...)
5. Present some new words and explain the key points and repeat . 6. Have a chant.

3. Get students to read 2a together follow the tape and explain some key points.
4. Get students to practice 2a and role play in pairs. (Teacher&students / Groups &Groups)
5. Ask students to talk about “My favorite season” in groups according to 2b and make up a new conversation. Then act it out. 6. Make a report.
