本節(jié)課是第八單元話題三的第三課時，是一節(jié)閱讀課。通過介紹中國的重要節(jié)日——春節(jié)，學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)春節(jié)風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣的表達(dá)法。通過“我”的朋友Sherry想了解中國文化為線索，引出并最后進(jìn)行復(fù)述貫穿全文。 Ⅱ. Teaching objectives 2.Instructional objectives (1) Language knowledge  
① 能夠根據(jù)已學(xué)語音、音標(biāo)及發(fā)音規(guī)則，正確朗讀和拼寫以下詞匯和短語： event, decorate, midnight, lucky, stay up, put on等； 
     ②能夠正確運用描述春節(jié)等慶祝節(jié)日的表達(dá)方式進(jìn)行交流，如：      In China, the Spring Festival is a big event.
