一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
本堂課的內(nèi)容為九年級(jí)Unit 12 Section A 3a,話題為“Life is full of the unexpected”(生活充滿了難以預(yù)料的事)。通過作者經(jīng)歷的兩件難以預(yù)料的事情(911幸免于難與因錯(cuò)過飛機(jī)躲過新西蘭地震)以及作者最后的感受(I felt very luck and my bad luck unexpected turned into good one). 二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
《英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》要求課堂教學(xué)要實(shí)現(xiàn)三維目標(biāo),即知識(shí)與能力目標(biāo),過程與方法目標(biāo),情感、態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀目標(biāo)。 1.知識(shí)與技能目標(biāo)
(1)學(xué)會(huì)如下單詞和詞組:unexpected, stare, disbelief, be about to。 (2)鞏固過去完成時(shí)的用法:the Past Perfect Tense
(3)閱讀過程中了解敘述一件事情的四要素:4W(when, where, who ,what happened)。 2.過程與方法目標(biāo):
(1)通過創(chuàng)設(shè)情境和肢體語言讓學(xué)生在語境當(dāng)中理解目標(biāo)詞匯的意思。
(2)通過幻燈片中對(duì)文本一些關(guān)鍵句的重點(diǎn)呈現(xiàn)以及老師聯(lián)系實(shí)際生活的解釋,讓學(xué)生掌握如何就文本話題進(jìn)行寫作。
(3)通過小組合作的方式完成關(guān)于文本話題的寫作。 3.情感態(tài)度目標(biāo)
(1)激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)于文本話題想表達(dá)的欲望。 (2)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生小組協(xié)作以及思辨的能力。 三、教學(xué)重難點(diǎn) 1.教學(xué)重點(diǎn)
(1)閱讀策略的滲透從而幫助學(xué)生更好地理解文本。
(2)關(guān)于“Unexpected life”這個(gè)話題的寫作框架的搭建。 2.教學(xué)難點(diǎn)
(1)過去完成時(shí)的鞏固。
(2)啟發(fā)學(xué)生思考自身與課本話題類似的事情,并對(duì)生活不可預(yù)料性的深層理解。 四、 教學(xué)過程 1. Pre-reading (1) watch a video
播放視頻時(shí)教師對(duì)視頻開始,中間,結(jié)局分別進(jìn)行提問:“”Where are they?”, “What are they doing?”, “How do you feel now?”, “Can you guess what will happen next?”。從而讓學(xué)生表達(dá)出類似于”unexpected”的詞。
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】
視頻集趣味性與功能性于一體,它能夠在感官上刺激學(xué)生從而吸引他們的注意。 (2)free talk
播放幻燈片里幾個(gè)不同身份的人物圖片并提問:What thing could happen then he/she feels unexpected?
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】
通過情景創(chuàng)設(shè),讓孩子們充分發(fā)揮想象力,他們的回答也是對(duì)本科標(biāo)題“Life is full of the unexpected”的再次強(qiáng)化。 (3)Prediction
教師帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生看文章中的圖片,要求學(xué)生通過觀察圖片預(yù)測(cè)發(fā)生了什么事情。 【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】
通過圖片和標(biāo)題對(duì)文章內(nèi)容進(jìn)行預(yù)測(cè)是很重要的閱讀策略之一。這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)能很好地鍛煉學(xué)生的觀察能力和邏輯思維的縝密性。
2. While reading (1) Fast reading
快讀環(huán)節(jié)中,要求學(xué)生找出文中提到的兩個(gè)大事件,即911和新西蘭地震。老師可以對(duì)事件的背景作簡(jiǎn)短的說明。

對(duì)文本的閱讀應(yīng)當(dāng)從快讀開始,因?yàn)樗梢宰寣W(xué)生在較短的時(shí)間里了解文章的大意和主題思想,并對(duì)文章的結(jié)構(gòu)有

(2) Careful reading
細(xì)讀時(shí)主要是對(duì)描述一個(gè)事件四要素的掌握,但對(duì)每一個(gè)段落的側(cè)重點(diǎn)都不同。第一段要求學(xué)生找出特定時(shí)間主人公的行為和主人公之所以出現(xiàn)在特定地點(diǎn)的原因;第二段側(cè)重于對(duì)主人公在發(fā)生了一些難以預(yù)料的事情之后感受的變化,并強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)生通過聯(lián)系上下文對(duì)文本進(jìn)行解讀。
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】細(xì)讀是閱讀課最重要的環(huán)節(jié)。教師通過滲透相應(yīng)的閱讀技巧,對(duì)疑難點(diǎn)的答疑解惑,幫助并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生對(duì)文本進(jìn)行理解。 3. Post-reading
這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)屬于輸出部分,把寫作作為之前閱讀部分的延續(xù)合情合理。通過總結(jié)閱讀文本的結(jié)構(gòu)框架,給出詳實(shí)的寫作要求,從而指導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)行相關(guān)話題的寫作。 寫作任務(wù):題目:An unexpected thing 要求:a. 6 sentences at least
b. begin with”Life is full of the unexpected.” C. use the past perfect tense
d. 4w: when, where, who, what happened e. end with how you feel and what you learn
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】寫作環(huán)節(jié)是對(duì)前面閱讀環(huán)節(jié)的檢測(cè)與鞏固。前面所講的閱讀策略、寫作手法全部都應(yīng)當(dāng)在學(xué)生的作文當(dāng)中得到很好的呈現(xiàn)。 4. Homework
Write two or three sentences about how you feel after learning the passage.
【設(shè)計(jì)意圖】這篇閱讀的話題是生活的不可預(yù)測(cè)性,希望通過課堂上閱讀作者的經(jīng)歷,寫一件自己的經(jīng)歷,作業(yè)再寫出自己的感悟讓學(xué)生充分明白這個(gè)道理。
Teaching Aims:
(1) Students are able to use the past perfect tense to describe an event.
(2) Students are able to understand life is full of the unexpected and then write an unexpected thing about their own. Teaching difficulties:
(1) The thinking of why life is full of the unexpected (2) The teaching of the past perfect tense Teaching Procedures: I. Pre-task
1. The teacher asks the students about how they feel by presenting a small video clip. 2. The teacher asks the students to guess what would happen then different people feel unexpected.
3. The teacher shows the picture in the passage and asks the students to predict what happened II. While-task 1. Fast reading.
Let the students find out the two events which the writer mentions in the passage. Then the teacher asks students to find more information about the two events.
2. Careful reading
For Paragraph One, focus on where the writer were and why he was there while the 911 attack happens. Then explain 3 sentences which may difficult for students to understand, especially how to use the past perfect tense.
For Paragraph Two, focus on how the writer felt when some things unexpected happened. 3. The teacher repeats the two unexpected things the writer experienced and asks students to find out how the writer ended up and how he felt. III. Post-task
According to what they learn, students are told to write an unexpected thing in their own life with at least six sentences and some other specific requirements. IV. Homework:
