教學目標
1.knowledge aims: recognize and read the new words and phrases in the reading materials
2 ability aims:(1) develop the ability of fast reading and find the main ideas quickly from the beginning or the end of each paragraph
(2) develop the ability of guessing the meanings of new words and phrases according to the context
(3) learn to use the skills of scanning
3emotional aims: understand parents more according to standing in their shoes and think out a good way to balance the study and relaxation
2學情分析
1.the students in Grade eight have become more mature and quieter ,so they are more interested in some activities which can develop their mind.
2 the students have learnt some knowledge and develop some study strategies of their own ,so there is a big difference between them in study results
3 the students have the ability to master some abstract study methods.
3重點難點
1.the reading material is a little difficult to some students because it is too long and has some new words and phrases
2. the study and life of foreign students are strange to our students and it's hard for them to understand
3 it's hard and abstract to develop the reading skills and have one's own reading strategies

4.1第一學時
4.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】why don`t you talk to your parents
1.ask students some questions about after-school classes and if they feel tired.
2.play a piece of music to students to make them relaxed.
(通過討論課外補習課這個熱門話題,讓學生敞開心扉討論自己的感受和觀點,很多學生說自己感覺很辛苦,給學生播放一段瑜伽冥想的音樂讓學生放松。讓學生在放松的狀態下進入學習狀態,無形之中讓學生感受到學習和放松需要一個平衡點。
活動2【活動】fast- reading
1.ask students to read paragraph 1 and 2 and get the main idea, give them 3 minutes
2.ask students to think and make a conclusion how to find the main idea quickly
3.ask students to read paragraph 3 and 4 and get the main idea as fast as possible
(讓學生先讀第1,2段用自己的方法找出這兩段的中心思想,然后讓學生自己總結如何去快速的找到中心思想。讓學生能抓住開頭,結尾等重點句型。在學生掌握這個方法后,再讓學生讀第3,4段,盡快找出中心思想,很多同學提高了速度,獲得成就感。
活動3【活動】guessing
1.first make students relaxed according to a guessing game: ask students to guess the meanings of the words according to the words in the sentences and perform for other students.
2.ask students to think and make a conclusion how to guess the meanings of the words and master some methods.
3.ask students to guess the meanings of new words in the passage according to the context.
(通過一個猜詞的游戲讓學生去思考和總結猜詞義的方法。在學生掌握一定的方法后讓學生去猜單詞的意義根據情境,讓學生解釋是如何猜出詞義并總結猜詞義的方法,比如說通過同義詞猜單詞,通過因果關系猜單詞等等。)
活動4【活動】consolidate
ask students to find the main idea of the passage about Langlang quickly and guess the meanings of the new words in the passage.
(練習鞏固學生前面學到的方法,給學生展示一篇關于朗朗在父母的嚴格要求下練琴,最后成才的文章,讓學生快速找到文章的中心思想,并根據情境猜生詞的意義)
活動5【活動】answer the questions
1.ask students to find the four answers in the passage: why do parents push the kids so hard?
2.ask students to make in pairs to discuss if you were a parent,would you push kids so hard?
3.after a student present his or her opinion,ask any other students" Do you want to have this kind of parents and why do you think so"
(讓學生到原文中去找問題的答案,進一步理解文章,然后讓學生站在父母的角度去考慮問題,兩人一組對話,加入你是父母,會讓孩子補課嗎?為什么?孩子展示自己的觀點后,問任何一個別的孩子是否喜歡這種類型的父母,為什么?這樣既可以檢查學生是否認真聽課,也可以達到一種交流的目的)
活動6【導入】group work
1.ask students to find the opinions in the passage and complete the chart
2.discuss in a group and talk about your own opinions.
3.after the student present his or her opinions,ask any other students“Do you agree with me and why do you think so?"
(讓學生到文章中找到不同人對課后補習的看法完成表格,然后四人一組討論自己的觀點,一組一組在陳述觀點的時候問其他同學是否同意自己的觀點,為什么?這樣既可以提高聽課效率,提高參與率,達到交流的作用。)
活動7【作業】homework
write a composition about after-school classes.
