1. Knowledge aims
( 1.) new phrases: be born in/on, dance to disco , perform ballet, perform Kung fu , play the piano, perform magic tricks , make a wish, blow out , have a good time
( 2.) new sentences:
    When was she born?
    She was born in July, 1965.
    We had a good time.
    He could dance to disco.
2.Skill aims
     By learning Unit7 , the students are asked to master the target languages of Unit7 , get the students to talk about the birthday activities and have a birthday party. By the party, students must use the Simple Past Tense to write a passage about the birthday party.The students can also talk about their own past activities freely.
3.Emotional aims
(1.)We should be friendly to our classmates .
(2.)Help each other between classmates .
(3.)We must value our friendship.
2學情分析
 Analysis of the students
   So far the students have learned BookI, they have mastereds English words and useful expressions, but not many. They have much interest
  in learning English, but their ability is quite poor, so during this period, I can get the students to speak more, listen more , write more and use 
more, getting the students to completing the teacher’s task and do teamwork are still the main tasks of English teaching.

(2.)Acquire the knowledge of the Simple Past Tense and some past tense statements.
(3.)Can talk about their own past activities freely.

4.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】 Warm up (3 minutes) 
(1.)Focus their attention on the teacher and sing the song together.(優美的歌曲能給師生提供一個輕松愉快的課堂氛圍, 為課堂教學中師生能夠默契配合創造條件,也能激發學生的學習興趣。)
(2.)Look at the riddle and guess.(引出本節課的主線birthday,讓學生知道birthday的拼寫,激發學生的學習興趣。)
活動2【活動】Presentation (5 minutes) 
1.Guessing game: Guess when and where the teacher was born? (On June 8th, in Kaixian) (師生互動,拉近師生之間的關系,增進情感,通過猜測游戲,活躍課堂氣氛,培養競爭意識。)
2.Pair work: (1.)Ask their birthdays each other between students.(生生互動增進同學之間的溝通了解,增強同學之間的友情。) 
(2.)Teacher asks the student(A) birthday and his birthday is today, some classmates are ready for presents.(師生互動,拉近師生之間的關系。為后面送禮物做鋪墊。)   . 
活動3【活動】Consolidation  (8 minutes) 
Send presents. (通過生生對話和猜測活動,增進同學之間的交流和了解,增進同學之間的友誼,而且充分地把語言知識運用到實際生活中,從而達到學以致用的目的。)   
(1.)S1:I give you some flowers. I wish you to smile like flowers every day.
SA: Thank you.
(2.)S2:My present is round, It can play. You like playing it and it can bring happiness to you. Can you guess it?
SA: Let me see. Oh, I see. It is a basketball. You know me very well. You are really my brother.(擊掌、擁抱)
    (3.)S3:Here is my present for you. I made a birthday card by hand, Best wishes to you.
SA: I like it very much .It is very kind of you. Thanks a lot.
(4..) S4: I have a present for you, too. Can you guess?
     SA: What shape is it?
S2:It is a rectangle.
SA: How long is it?
S2: It is 15 centimeters long.
SA: What do we use it for?
S2: We use it to read.
SA: Oh, I know. Is it a book?
S2: Yes. You  are so smart.
(5.)S5:I have no money. I can say happy birthday to you.
SA:I think your present is the best. Thank you for your wishes.
(6.)S6:Look,look.We give you a birthday cake. Light the candles. Now you may make a wish, then blow out the candles.(鼓掌。全班邊拍手邊唱生日快樂歌。)
   SA: Thank you very much.
Monitor: Miss Li, shall we have a birthday party for him.
Teacher: Good idea. But at first, we play the games. 
活動4【練習】Practice (5 minutes) 
(1.)Guess the activity(看與學生日常生活相關的圖片的一部分猜,激發興趣,活躍課堂氣氛,培養學生的觀察能力和競爭意識。)
What is the activity? (play the guitar, sing a song, play the piano)
(2.)Discuss in groups:What should we do at the party?(增進同學之間的溝通了解,培養學生合作意識。)
Teacher: Are you ready? Now let us have a birthday party.
Monitor: Ladies and gentlemen, I am very glad to organize the party. Now welcome all people to take part in the birthday party.(鼓掌)I wish everyone has a good time. Now let us perform the programs.
活動5【活動】Showing(6 minutes)
(提供展示的機會,通過視覺、聽覺練習和鞏固語言知識。)
Group1: perform ballet
Group2: perform magic tricks
Group3: dance to disco
Group4: perform Chinese Kungfu
Group5: sing a song(朋友)  (通過唱朋友這首歌,升華情感教育。同學之間要團結友愛,互幫互助,珍惜友情。)
SA:Thank you, my classmates. Today I am so happy. It is unforgettable in my life. So friendship between classmates is very important for us. We should be friendly to our classmates and help each other .
Teacher: Yes. We should value our friendship. 
活動6【練習】Writing(8minutes)
(通過鮮活的素材,訓練寫作能力。)
(1.)Write alone
(2.)Peer response in own group, find out the mistakes.
(3.)Peer response in another group, find out the mistakes.

動詞過去式的規律:
① 一般情況+ed
② 以不發音的e結尾的+d
③ 以輔音字母+y結尾的, 變y為i+ed
④重讀閉音節結尾且末尾只有一個輔音字母的, 先雙寫輔音字母, 再加ed
⑤ 不規則動詞的過去式參見英語書最后一頁
二.用所給詞的適當形式填空。
