4.11. Revision Play the“Where is … ”game to review the parts of the body. Have Ss do this together. T: where is your head? Ss: Here it is. T: where is your hair? Ss: Here it is. T: where is your face? Ss: Here it is. T: where is your eye? Ss: Here it is,etc. Then write new words on the Bb to teach using their rules of pronunciation 【教學設計說明】 1.復習了身體部位的單詞。 2. 將本課時五官名詞自然呈現。 3.充分達到熱身目的,提高了參與率。 2. Presentation 1 .Show several pictures and talk about their appearances. T: Look at the pictures. Compare their faces. S: He has a long face, and she has a round face. T: What about the eyes S: The baby has big eyes. The man has small eyes, etc. 2. Work on 1a. Match the words with the pictures. 3. Check Ss’ answers. 【教學設計說明】通過對每幅圖片的描述,引導學生由使用舊知識過渡到自主使用新知識,達到了自然呈現的目的。 3. Pair work Have Ss get into pairs and talk about 1a. Listen again. What do Johnny Dean and Tina Brown look like Complete the chart in 1c. 【教學設計說明】本部分聽力練習旨在鍛煉學生提取細節信息的能力。1c要求學生聽出職業的單詞。而1d要求學生聽出關于外貌的形容詞。 6. Group work (1) Work on 1e. Make a conversation about your favorite singer or athlete, and what he/she looks like. (2) Have some groups present their conversations to the class. 【教學設計說明】這個階段的學生都有自己的偶像,談論明星能激起學生學習英語的興趣,當語言變成一種需要時,學生們便能自然的張開嘴了。 7. Homework Write a short passage about what your favorite singer or athlete looks like. Preview 2a-2c. Teaching evaluation and reflection: 本節課學生學會了談論人的身高、體重、發型及面部特征,尤其是談論了自己喜歡的明星,興致極高,學生英語學習的積極性極大地調動起來了。課堂氣氛很活躍,平時不易張口的學生也談論的很熱烈,及時對他們進行了鼓勵、表揚。通過學習,學生能掌握本節課中出現的表示人外觀的詞組及句型。通過聽、說、讀、寫訓練,全方位提高學生綜合應用語言的能力。 在以后的教學中,要多關注學習有困難或性格內向的學生,課前可安排一些實際生活中與所學內容相關聯的探究活動,鼓勵他們積極參與到課堂中來,盡可能為他們創造使用語言的機會,幫助他們戰勝“怕”的心理。
