Step 1 Warm up. |
1.Say a chant. 2.PPT:map of the world, ask the students to find: China, the US. 3.Ask the students to introduce some information they know about the US. 4.Enjoy some pictures of the US. |

借助歌謠、圖片等多種形式調動學生在愉悅的氛圍中進入本課的學習,初步了解美國概況的簡單信息,為后面學習其主要城市做鋪墊。 |
Step 2 Presentation. |
1.Watch the CD-ROM and try to say the names of the three cities. 2. With the help of the marker and the text, the students try to describe where the three cities are in the US and help the teacher complete the main sentences on the board. Show a picture of the compass on ppt, help the students learn four directions:east, west, north, south. By asking some questions, the students can get to know where Simon lives in the US clearly. 4.Listen and repeat. 5.Read the text in pairs. |
1.Find three names they hear in the dialog. 2.Watch the CD-ROM again and stick the cards ofNew York, Los Angeles and Washington DC on the map of the US. 3.Learn south, north, east and west ,with the help of a compass on ppt 4. Play games with the teacher to emphasize the four direction words.. 4.Listen and try to imitate the tones and voices. Then read with partners. |
第一遍整體感知文本內容,學習3個主要城市名稱。第二遍整體感知文本引導學生在方向標的幫助下嘗試自己辨別紐約和洛杉磯的地理位置,并貼到地圖上,體驗成功感。第三遍整體感知文本鼓勵學生同伴合作,獲取相關城市地理位置的準確表達,師生合作完成板書,進一步鞏固核心語言的學習,從而有效地加深理解和記憶。 |
Step 3 Consolidation and extension. |
1 Play a game: The students response quickly using“east, west”. 2. Pictures of the minions. Group work:read the letter from the minions, stick them on the right location on the paper. 3.Then try to talk about their own rooms . |
1. Try to keep the track of the red dots on ppt quickly and say the direction words and phrases; in the east / west of. 2. Read the letter from the minions, complete the picture by reading the hints in the letter. 3. Try to match and talk about their own rooms based on the structure in Minions’ letter. |
游戲的設計易于吸引學生全員性參與活動,進一步鞏固方位詞的熟練運用.小組活動兼具趣味性和實用性,通過閱讀小黃人的來信動手貼小黃人的房間位置等,搭建一定語言支架后嘗試簡單介紹自己房間的布局,進行語言的真實輸出和操練。 |
