一、教學內容
Reading:Great cities in Asia
二、教學目標:
1. 了解北京、東京、曼谷的相關信息,能理解文本內容,能朗讀復述文本內容。 2. 通過任務型閱讀培養學生的閱讀興趣和閱讀能力。
3. 通過語言偵探活動和拼圖閱讀活動培養學生的自主閱讀策略。
4. 通過文本的比較能梳理文章的結構層次,知道如何全面介紹一個城市。 三、教學重點
1.了解北京、東京、曼谷的相關信息,能理解文本內容,能朗讀復述文本內容。 2.通過語言偵探活動和拼圖閱讀活動培養學生的自主閱讀策略。 四、教學難點:
1. 學生自主閱讀策略的培養。
2. 發散性的任務比較多,課堂組織有一定難度。 3. 本文生詞太多,影響學生的閱讀興趣。 五、學情分析(教材分析也可以用這個,嘿嘿)
上課內容是牛津上海版六下第一單元的reading板塊,但是由于賽課的需要,用的是南京五年級的學生,對于學生來說,教材完全不同,基礎也不一樣,課文中大量的生詞對學生造成了很大的閱讀障礙。不過好在本節課是作為課外閱讀來上的,因此教學目標和重難點的定位與普通reading的要求略有不同。五年級學生的閱讀興趣還是很濃厚的,也具備一定的閱讀基礎和閱讀能力。 六、教學準備
Ppt、文本的二次改編、相關城市的貼圖、板書貼、固體膠。 七、教學過程 A. Before class:
Enjoy a short movie about Asian landscape.
(設計意圖:在如詩如畫的風景中感受亞洲的美麗,為創設本課情境做好鋪墊。) B. Free talk
Just now we enjoyed a short movie about Asian landscape. Is it beautiful?The world is so big and nice,do you want to have a look?Where do you want to go?Why?
(設計意圖:激活學生已有生活經驗和知識基礎,利用網絡熱詞“世界那么大,我想去看看”創設教學情境。) C. Pre-reading 1. Enjoy:
I like travelling. I have been to many beautiful places.Look! (欣賞老師近幾年的旅行照片,師做簡單的介紹)
Last summer holiday,I went to Anhui and sichuan. This is my daughter,she likes travelling too. We climbed huangshan , visited hongcun. Sichuan is pandas’ hometown. In 2015,we went to shanxi. This is 兵馬俑,this is hukou waterfalls. In 2014,we went to shandong and xiamen, we saw the sea and climb taishan. In 2013, we went to beijing. There are many museums and palaces. Look, this is palace museum, this is summer palace, this is winter palace, this is the great wall, this is beijing roast duck,it's very yummy. (設計意圖:藝術來源于生活,老師這幾年的旅行照片讓情境更加真實,只有真實的情境才能激發學生參與課堂的欲望。而且這個環節也為下文任務的設置做好鋪墊。) 2. Talk:
This is beijing. Have you been to beijing? What do you know about beijing?
D. While reading
1. 師生共同學習北京:Be a language detective (1)學生自由閱讀,找出每句話里面的關鍵詞。
Do you want to know more about beijing?Now read this passage,you will know a lot. The first task: be a language detective. Read the passage,find out the key words of each sentence,then circle them. Maybe these pictures will help you.
(2)說學生已經掌握的內容。Now who can tell me, from this passage, what do you know ? Can you read the sentences you have known. (3)教學學生不會的內容
From the passage, which words or sentences do you not read or understand? You can point , let’s learn together. (根據學生的反饋相機學習生詞生句) (4)Check
Ok ,now can you read the passage? let's read with the tape。Now do you know a lot about beijing?Can you answer these questions?
(設計意圖:本篇文章介紹了亞洲的三大城市:北京、東京、曼谷,文章結構基本差不多,因此教師的設想是通過師生共同學習第一段北京,教會學生閱讀方法,然后放手讓學生自學二三兩段,實現教是為了不教不教的目的。北京的學習采用的是“語言偵探”的閱讀策略,就是通過閱讀文本,培養學生尋找關鍵詞關鍵句的能力。)
2. 圖文配對學習曼谷和東京,Jinsaw reading
導語:You did a good job. Do you want to beijing this summer holiday?I have been to beijing,so this summer holiday I'm not going to beijing。 I’m going to travel abroad. I want to Tokyo,I also want to Bangkok.Which city should I go?Can you help me? I have two passages about tokyo and Bangkok. After we learned them, I hope you can give me some advice. This time,let's do a jingsaw reading.
(設計意圖:《英語課程標準》倡導“任務型”的教學模式,培養學生綜合語言運用能力。并強調“老師應該避免單純傳授語言的教學方法,盡量采用‘任務型’的教學模式”。本節課老師所設置的任務就是:請學生們給老師提建議暑假該去哪個城市游玩,東京還是曼谷?既然是提建議,那必須對這兩個城市很了解才能提出合理的建議,所以帶著這樣真實的任務展開學習,學生立刻興致盎然。) (1)分組
First let me divide you into two big groups. Group 1and 3 ,your passages are about tokyo ,so you are group tokyo, Group2and 4 ,your passages are about bangkok ,so you are group bangkok. Let’s read the passage with your deskmate,then find the pictures about Tokyo or Bangkok,ok? (2)學生同桌合作完成拼圖。 (3)let's check
Have you finish your task?Now let's check. Are you right? (4)let's introduce在學生介紹的過程中相機學習生詞。
四人小組朗讀文本,練習向他人介紹自己的城市,不會的單詞可以請教老師或者同學。“東京”組和“曼谷”組PK,輪流向對方介紹自己的城市,說對一句加一顆星。
Read the passage in four,practise introducing your city,if you don't know the words,you can ask me or your partners。Then group Tokyo and group Bangkok,introduce your city to others in turn,let's pk!
(設計意圖:Jigsaw是一種拼圖游戲,也就是把零散的部分拼成一幅完整的圖畫。這是一種人們喜聞樂見的游戲,可以鍛煉人們的記憶力,分析推理能力及動手能力。Jigsaw reading就是把Jigsaw的理念和做法與英語閱讀相結合的一種教學方法。中文從字面上講可以譯為“拼圖閱讀”,專業上又把它譯為“互補式閱讀”。根據本篇文章的特點,我的操作方法如下:首先分組學習,第一組和第三組學習東京,第二組和第四組學習曼谷,每個人閱讀各自的文本內容,然后同桌合作完成該城市的拼圖,接著“東京”組和“曼谷”組PK,輪流向對方介紹自己的城市。這樣每個孩子就把自己的那部分文本內容通過自主學習,合作學習、交流分享扎實掌握了。) 3. Make a city card
(1)let's think:從哪些方面了解一個城市
Now group Tokyo ,you know a lot about Tokyo, group Bangkok,you know a lot about Bangkok。Do you want to know a lot about each other's city? What do you want to know about this city? Yes ,if we want to know a lot about a city,we can know its position,its status,its population and so on。根據學生所說相機板書:position、population、famous places、food… (2)let's make 老師示范制作引導學生提問
Now we can make a city card like this,for example,I want to make a card of Tokyo,I know it's the capital of Japan,but I don't know it's position、population、famous places、food…How to ask?引導學生根據關鍵詞設計問題,根據學生的回答相機板書。
(3)學生自己制作,下位提問,運用板書的句型。
Now it's your turn。Make a city card of each other's city,you can go to ask students in another group about this city's information,don't forget to use these questions. (4)展示各自的city card
Have you finished your works?Who wants to show it to us?(老師請一個學生上臺,實物投影她的作品,幫助她完成對作品的介紹)
(設計意圖:上述環節才只是學習了一個城市,另一個城市怎么辦呢?這時候就需要用到“互補式閱讀”了。東京組知道的內容是曼谷組不知道的,反之亦然,因此通過制作另一個城市的名片卡,引導學生如何提問,如何了解一個城市,讓學生下位互相詢問,完成city card的填寫,這樣的任務激發了學生的學習欲望,任務真實自然的,學生非常感興趣。通過jigsaw reading,學生完成了對文本的學習過程,加深對于語篇的理解,提高閱讀的能力。 4. Read the passage

(設計意圖:本節課任務型閱讀的終極任務就是通過本節課的學習,通過對東京和曼谷兩個城市的了解,給老師提出合理的個性化的建議,將本節課所學內容轉
述成學生自己的話語,達到語言輸出的目的。) (2)比較總結
找三個城市的相同點,點題:great cities in Asia
Today we learned a lot about beijing、Tokyo and Bangkok. What do they have the same features?Yes,they are great cities in Asia. The world is big,so there are many great cities ,look!
(設計意圖:三篇小片段的學習讓學生了解了北京、東京、曼谷,但是它們之間的共同點在哪兒呢?通過這樣的問題,引導學生去比較分析,關注語篇之間的聯系,培養學生的觀察分析歸納能力。而且這個環節的設計也起到畫龍點睛的作用,點明文章主題。) F. Homework
上網搜索你感興趣的一個城市的資料,仿照本課的文章結構,寫一篇城市介紹,可以配圖哦。
Enjoy the pictures, after class ,you can look for some information about this city on the Internet. Then write a composition about this city. This is today’s homework.
(設計意圖:課堂要從課內延伸到課外,學以致用,將本節課所學習到的學習策略運用到家庭作業中,進一步培養學生的綜合素養。)
