基于以上指導(dǎo)思想和基本理念，依據(jù)本單元和本課時的教學(xué)內(nèi)容，我設(shè)計了英語與科學(xué)學(xué)科整合的教學(xué)設(shè)計思路，力求在學(xué)科內(nèi)容之間架起語言知識相互貫通的橋梁，同時培養(yǎng)學(xué)生基本的英語素養(yǎng)，激發(fā)學(xué)生用英語表達科學(xué)知識的欲望，培養(yǎng)良好的語言能力，凸顯語言的工具性特征；在實踐活動中，通過分辨種子、討論種子傳播途徑及原因等活動培養(yǎng)思維品質(zhì)。

教學(xué)背景分析
1.教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析：
北京版小學(xué)英語五年級下冊教材的第二單元和第三單元都聚焦“植物”話題展開，其中第二單元談到了植物各部分的名稱、植物各部分的功能以及植物生長所需要的條件。第三單元主要談?wù)摰氖欠N子的傳播方式以及植物與人類生活的關(guān)系。如下表：

教學(xué)內(nèi)容調(diào)整說明：
本節(jié)課的授課內(nèi)容是第三單元第11課UNIT 3 HOW DO SEEDS TRAVEL Lesson 11的內(nèi)容。本單元是二單元的植物話題的延續(xù)。我認為教學(xué)中應(yīng)遵循學(xué)生對事物的基本認知規(guī)律，即要先基于對事物的認識，才能深化其與人類的關(guān)系。相對前兩課，Lesson 11的話題內(nèi)容與二單元聯(lián)系更加緊密，所以將本課時調(diào)整為該單元第一課時。將Lesson10作為第二課時，Lesson 9為第三課時。本課時的教學(xué)內(nèi)容如下：
2.學(xué)生情況分析：
本節(jié)課教學(xué)對象為西辛小學(xué)五年級5班的學(xué)生。其語言能力和認知水平如下：
（1）語言知識儲備：學(xué)生積累的植物話題知識有：植物各部分名稱、植物各部分功能、植物生長所需條件、常見蔬菜名稱。但對常見的植物如各種樹、花、種子的英文名稱不知曉。
（2）語言能力：該班學(xué)生能用英語介紹植物各部分名稱、功能及植物生長所需要的條件。能用

英語描述植物的各部分的特征，如葉子的形狀、花的顏色、種子的大小等。
（3）相關(guān)學(xué)科知識：學(xué)生在小學(xué)二年級語文課學(xué)習(xí)過《植物媽媽有辦法》一文，在北京版小學(xué)三年級科學(xué)課學(xué)習(xí)過種子傳播的基本途徑，但對其傳播途徑未進行過深入探究。
（4）學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗與經(jīng)歷：本班學(xué)生基本生活在縣城，缺少農(nóng)村生活體驗的經(jīng)歷，對植物的科普知識懂得較少，不知道人類吃的是植物的哪個部分，基本沒有或極少走進大自然或去植物園、自然博物館等地去觀察植物、探究植物的經(jīng)歷。因此，普及植物的科學(xué)知識，即分辨什么是種子、探究種子傳播的途徑等內(nèi)容即是本課的語言知識生成點，也是學(xué)生語言能力的提升點。 3.教學(xué)方式：

教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. 學(xué)生能夠正確理解對話、分角色朗讀對話，并借助板書復(fù)述對話。
2. 學(xué)生能用英語“...is a kind of seed./...are seeds./Some seeds travel in/with/by...”表達什么是種子以及種子的傳播途徑。
3. 學(xué)生能在實踐探究活動中分辨什么是種子，并根據(jù)種子本身的特點推測種子的傳播途徑。 4. 學(xué)生能在探究體驗活動中積極思考，拓展思維，并對自然界的事物產(chǎn)生探究的興趣，從而樂于走進大自然、親近大自然。

1.理解、朗讀對話，借助板書復(fù)述對話。
2.用英語表達什么是種子，并在實踐探究活動中根據(jù)種子本身的特點推測種子的傳播方式并用英語表達出來。 教學(xué)難點：

T: Plants are amazing. Baobao knew something about a plant. But he has more puzzles.Today, Baobao and his parents go outside and have a picnic.He wants to know more. What does he want to know? 預(yù)設(shè)板書：

T: After their picnic，what is Baobao doing？ S：Baobao is playing./ He is chatting with his parents. T: Baobao picks off a dandelion. Are dandelions the seeds? S:Yes.

S：Because it’s light.
T: They are light. They look like parachutes. That can help them. So the seeds can begin their travelling. (2) Read and circle

T: The seeds are in different shapes, different colors, and different weights and so on. Do they travel by the same way? S: No.
T: You have many kinds of seeds now. Please classify the seeds into different plates. Discuss in groups: How do these seeds travel? And why do you think so? S (Classifying the seeds and discuss in group.)
(2) Share the conclusion.

Homework: After class, you can make a hand-copied newspaper about seeds. Include “What are seeds?” and “How do seeds travel?” Certainly, you can write them more.
