課時分析
這一節課是譯林版牛津小學英語五年級上冊第八單元 At Christmas的Check out time和Ticking time. Checkout Time分別有Think and write復習本單元的語言知識點,即圣誕的各種活動和Order and say復習本課的語法知識點,First, Next, Then, Finally這些表示順序的副詞。Ticking time是針對本單元學生要達到的目標。關于Ticking time,我們備課組原來的意見是放在每個任務的后面,但是我們后來認為那樣的評價并不真實,因為它不能真實反饋每個學生的掌握情況。第二次的設計是把Ticking time放在整節課的最開始,我想當然的認為這樣會讓學生有強烈的目標意識,但是經過施校長的點撥,Ticking time還是放在整節課的最后好:首先,可以讓學生回顧一下本節課乃至本單元的主要內容;其次,學生也可以評價自己的所學,便與其回家后查漏補缺。
學情分析
兒童的天性就是玩,就是對一切事物充滿了好奇,但持續性不強。在低年級的時候,因為剛開始接觸英語,可能還十分好奇,對這門新的學科,對這種新的語言會產生濃厚的興趣。但隨著年級的增高、知識難度的加深,孩子們可能會慢慢對它失去了原來的興趣,如果此時再加上難度較大的作文,我想他們也許就會更加徹底地放棄了英語學習,所以在高年級的課堂上,就出現了很多兩極分化的現象。那我們老師應該怎么辦呢?其實,孩子畢竟是孩子,他們對英語還是有比對其他學科更多的興趣的,因為畢竟平時接觸不到,所以老師們就要善于抓住這個特點,正確引導他們,在平時的教學中樹立他們的自信心、自豪感,多給他們成功的感覺,這樣肯定會收到良好的效果。體現在我們高年級的作文教學中,就應該讓孩子們輕松簡單地完成每一篇文章,降低作文難度,讓孩子們在作文教學中慢慢體驗到成功的樂趣,感受到學習英語的快樂,大大地培養他們的自信心。當然我也不主張一味地降低作文難度,這樣起不到練習的效果,應該一次次提高要求,發現孩子們的水平有所提高了,老師的要求也要適當提高,這樣一步一步地練習,我相信他們的作文水平肯定會有所提高,對英語的興趣也會越來越濃厚的,這樣對我們的英語教學也起到了很大的幫助。

設計理念
1.培養學生學習英語的興趣,提高學生閱讀英語故事的興趣。 2.讓學生了解西方圣誕節相關習俗,培養學生跨文化交際能力。 3. 把Checkout版塊的練習課轉化為趣味的活動課。
教學目標
1. 學生能了解一些有關圣誕節的知識和祝福語。
2. 學生能熟練運“Christmas, present, Christmas tree, Father Christmas, pretty, thing, Christmas Eve, stocking, wait for, finally”等核心詞匯和“Merry Christmas!”“What’s wrong with…”等重點句型。
3. 引導學生初步感知“First/Next/Then/Finally,…”一系列表示先后順序的副詞結構,提升學生語言的邏輯思考能力。
4. 能靈活運用buy, put 等動詞及短語描述圣誕節的有關活動和習俗。
5. 學生能復述之前學習課文內容,并以此為基礎計劃一下自己的圣誕節該如何過,并形成小短文。
