Reading : A Master Of Nonverbal Humour(Reading & Writing)
   教材:人教版《英語4[必修] New Senior English for China》
 
一、教學對象分析 
本校學生生源在全市屬于中上水平,因此教學活動的選擇與設計遵循由易到難,且較難的原則,注意給學生搭建一定的語言支架和幫助。本堂為人物傳記故事類閱讀課,以哈佛大學研究多年、并在現今西方各中學學校教學中盛行且行之有效的Three Learning Keys:Thinking Skills, Interaction & Comprehension為主導教學思想,以active reading為目的,重在培養學生微觀、宏觀有效攫取課文信息的思維敏銳性、批判性和創造性,以及語言組織和書寫的輸出能力。用問題和Mindwrite及Summary構圖問答形式作為輔助,按細節、理解和創新逐層拔高,引導學生開發性研究學習。學生全部采取小組圍坐的形式,有利于學生更好地小組合作和探究。
二、教學內容分析
本課為人教版《英語4[必修] New Senior English for China》U3 A Taste of English Humour的閱讀課,緊密圍繞Reading文章人物主題,通過法國文學家Victor Hugo的名句“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”導入引出Bet-game活動:Who Is He?以問題形式逐一列出競猜提示使學生對本節課學習的人物目標有生動直觀的切入,并通過小組活動的討論、讀、寫中了解Charlie Chaplin。Mindwrite構圖問答形式所涉及的問題直導時代背景、人物內心世界及其成就帶給人類的積極影響和作用。通過問題的問答、深入及宏觀思考和討論,閱讀和口語相輔相成,通過基于Mindwrite問題基礎上對人物簡要介紹的Summary達到創新思維和實際解決問題的有效輸出目的。最后本課以重溫Three Learning Keys:Thinking Skills, Interaction & Comprehension主導教學思想為結束。
三、教學目標 
(1)知識技能目標:
通過閱讀和Mindwrite,使學生對Charlie Chaplin有基本和直觀的了解,幫助學生理清本文的行文結構:人物介紹的書寫順序與內容,并學習其行為帶出的“正能量”精神力量;通過小組合作方式,讓學生積極思考并回答閱讀理解的問題;通過小組討論,使學生思考并表達自己的想法,提高說的技能;通過思考、討論、合作、共享,寫出人物簡介的小作文并共享。
(2)情感態度價值觀:
通過本篇文章的學習,讓學生了解人物成長、取得成就和成名的過程。借助人物的奮斗歷程,了解其生存環境和成長的時代背景,進而了解人物心理和促成其成名極其重要的因素之一——個性特征,從而得出一種無聲的力量——如何戰勝個人不幸和艱難困苦,為遭受戰爭之苦的人民驅逐生活和內心的黑暗釋放自己的光芒之“正能量”。
四、教學過程 
Step1 Lead-in: Bet-game (3mins)
Victor Hugo once said: “Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.” People say up to now nobody has been able to do this better than him.
He was born in 1889;
He was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer;
He rose to fame(成名) in the silent era;
His charming character “the little tramp” made him known throughout the world;

【設計意圖】 引入本堂課Reading人物主題,通過Bet-game和問題競猜激發學生對主題人物的興趣及初步了解。

【設計意圖】此環節的活動設計以課文基本信息為基礎,旨在帶領學生了解Charlie Chaplin為目的,并為后面的Mindwrite問題的解答開始逐步掃清障礙,最終為順利有效地寫出人物簡介小作文服務,以階梯式向上滾動的金字塔為模式,通過過程的習得積累知識,最終輸出寫作,完成創造性習得任務,充分調動學生學習Three Learning Keys的實際運用與操作能力。而教師值得注意的是,在核對答案的過程中除了給出正確答案之外,還應當激發學生辯證思維能力,以激活學生學習的主體意識。例如,在Para.5設計的這道單選題中,可以問學生,為什么D或者其他選項不宜入選。學生給出理由的同時,教師又給出要“知其然,且要知其所以然”真實力的暗示,活躍了課堂氣氛,又幫助學生加深對文本真實信息的鞏固。考慮到問題難度較淺和時間關系,此Reading環節主要以Individual Work模式為主,但教師在引導過程中鼓勵組員做必要的小范圍溝通和討論。

【設計意圖Mindwrite思維問答表格屬哈佛教學研究中學研究出為實現a creative thinker and peoblem solver最終學習目的采用的Three Learning Keys教學手段中采納的一種實用有效的方法之一。這些問題的設置,拔高了文章理解高度,較高級別應用到Three Learning Keys,并對學生在第一個Reading環節微觀掌握文章基本信息基礎上,進一步從宏觀角度拔高對人物內在精神、時代背景和成就影響等方面的探討和理解高度。并用一種較高層次的邏輯思維整理出逐一要點,不僅為書寫,關鍵為書寫人物簡介的一句話的Summary任務預備最清晰有效的信息框架以便稍后直接攫取。考慮到問題跨度較大及最充分有效利用時間,本題完成過程教師鼓勵學生以小組討論為主,并可見縫插針點撥過程中遇到的困難。思考、閱讀和解題交叉進行,并可組內分享以完善要點。完成要點書寫后要求做組內匯報:❶組員按要點每人負責一點從1至8點逐一向小組匯報,❷匯報過程其他組員注意聽,可討論、可修改、可補充要點。最后教師給出每個要點范例,并說明沒有標準答案,只要有理有據即可。

【設計意圖人物傳記故事類閱讀文是高考閱讀理解的開篇題,是閱讀理解必考題型之一。而人物型作文題材也是常考,所以,作為習得輸出的目的,教師要引導學生實踐操作人物簡短介紹固定字數一句話書寫模式,為人物作文書寫做鋪墊,也有效掌握了對人物的了解。

【設計意圖整堂較為緊密的課堂節奏中仍大方地勻出相對較長時間作為輸出交流分享,其好處多多。其一,完整實施Interaction任務;二,學生在分享過程中能敏感地找出對方書寫的錯誤及不當之處;三,對其進行較快速度的心算修改;四,同心協力在組內找出一篇最出彩的文章并全班共享。具體操作方法:完成寫作后要求做組內匯報:組員之間互換作文大聲朗讀,期間❶可幫忙訂正、❷劃出好詞好句,❸在好作文上打上▲以備作為代表小組好文向全班匯報共享。最后教師給出作文范例。
