教學目標
~Teaching objectives: 1. Help the students learn the usage of some useful words and expressions in the text. Help them improve their oral and written English. 2. Help the students develop their awareness of cooperation. Help them develop their creativity. 3. Help the students learn more about what is ‘behind beliefs’, including English idioms and some Chinese quotes. Help them cultivate their pride in the splendid civilization of our country.
2學情分析
~高中英語“語言點教學”因其“繁多、單調、乏味”一直被老師們心照不宣地列為“私房課”,很少登上公開課、研究課的舞臺。現實里有以下突出的4大矛盾:重老師講授,輕學生思考;重語言知識的教學,輕語言知識的運用;重學生的獨學,輕同伴的互助;重學習的量,輕學習的質。 本節課以新課標理念為指導,以提高英語輸出能力為目標,借助多媒體教育資源與校本展示卡,探索構建以教師為主導,學生為主體的“自主學習—合作探究—運用展示”的新課型,培養學生的合作與溝通能力,創造力與想象力,運用展示能力,使學生成為學習的積極主動參與者與構建者,以期達到價值引領,思維啟迪,品格素造的三大核心任務。
3重點難點

活動1【活動】復習和猜謎

活動2【講授】重點詞匯和短語講解及應用
~1. An idiom is a group of words and expression whose meaning can’t be understood by looking at the meanings of its individual words. 2. Idioms often use a number of words to represent a single object, person or concept, among other things, and if you don’t recognize an idiom when it is being used, it is easy to understand what you read or hear spoken.
~3. A biblical idiom is often an expression that stresses the moral of a story. 4. “Feet of clay” comes from a story in the Bible. There was a king who saw a statue of a strong man with bare feet made of clay. A stone flew at the statue and hit it on the feet, and the statue were broken.

~★Write a paragraph by using these words and expressions as many as you can. separate unless underline strike be reduced to doing hire oneself out competence ★ Any topic( hobby, food, future, making up a story…) designed by your group is OK. ★ You can also refer to some other expressions to help you write.
