一、教學目標

二、教學內容整體分析
本單元的中心話題是:“偉大的科學家”(Great Scientists)教材通過講述多個科學家的個人事跡,增強學生的學習興趣,激發學生對科學的學習動機,學習科學家的堅持不懈,努力鉆研的精神。而所選取的“閱讀”(Reading)部分主要講述了我國科學家袁隆平的生平故事,偉大理想,雜交水稻實驗過程,主要貢獻及對中西方的深遠影響。
三、學情分析
Students have previewed the text and have a basic understanding of important words and phrases. Students have got some reading skills such as finding the main ideas and detailed information. They are willing to cooperate with teammates and eager to learn something new about scientists.
四、教學策略選擇與設計
通過ppt圖片展示和視頻結合任務型教學模式,激發學生的學習主動性和積極性。 問題解決教學模式,讓學生自主探索教師和學生自己提出的問題,最終解決問題。
五、教學重點及難點 Teaching important points:
1. Enable the students to master the target language.
2. Help the students to read the text by using reading skills. 3. Understand the importance of Yuan Long ping’s achievements. Teaching difficult points:
1. Enable the students to know and talk about what made Yuan a great scientist. 2. Master the reading skills to get information and solve the problems. 3. Describe a person after learning the passage of Yuan Long ping.
