一、學習內容分析

知識與技能:
Knowledge aims:
1. Get the students to learn the following useful new words and expressions in this passage.
2. Know basic knowledge about earthquakes. Ability aims:
1. Develop the students’ability and let them learn different reading skills. 2. Get the students to write a summary of the reading. 過程與方法: 1. Pre-reading
(1) 顯示兩座曾經遭受地震的城市(汶川和日本福島)新貌,ask:Look at the two beautiful cities, Can you imagine what they used to be in the past?
(2) 顯示圖片簡單介紹一下汶川和日本福島地震事件(提及一下兩次地震震級分別為8級和9級),引出問題:What damage did a strong earthquake cause? (顯示圖片的同時配些句子填空,幫助學生學生學會用英語來描述地震所帶來的災害,以此熟悉本單元
的一些新詞和短語;也為最后的寫作埋下伏筆)
2. Reading
(1) Our today’s topic is another earthquake,讓學生找出信息:A big earthquake in Tangshan,Hebei, on July 28, 1976
The titile of the Reading-----A NIGHT THE EARTH DIDN’T SLEEP
(2) 欣賞地震片段---Thangshan Earthquake (播放視頻,讓學生從視覺上感受一下地震所帶來的沖擊感)
Ask some students to say sth. about the movie: (shocking, almost can’t breathe;7.8 magnitude; guess the deaths: more than 200,000 以一個問題why did so many people die in this earthquake?進入課文
(3) 讓學生找出共有的段落及topic sentence.
(4) 分成三段,說出每段main idea,并用一個詞概括每部分。
(5) 任務一:再細讀課文,完成 Exercise 1 on P60 in workbook.(一個表格)
----此任務使用計時器,讓學生在五分鐘內完成;然后check answers.
3. Writing
讓學生寫出這篇課文的概要。要求:(1)Discuss in groups ,everyone writes
one or two sentences of each paragraph to make up a complete version
(2)About 60 words (Try to use your own words)
(3)After that, please make a presentation (展示)before class.
最后利用投影儀展示每組作品,并簡單講評。剩余組的作文課后上交并批閱,在下節課中分析其中的問題及注意事項。
情感態度與價值觀:
Get the students to be aware of the terrible disasters, meanwhile get them to face it, treat it in a proper way, and never get discouraged. 2.學習內容與重難點分析
