課文標題:A Night the Earth didn’t Sleep(語法課)
一、整體設計思路
本節課設定為定語從句的新課(第一節),活動中的語料均與跑男相關,均為教師原創。教師以綜藝節目Running Man為主線貫穿整節語法新課。
高一學生通過義務階段的學習,對定語從句有已經了一定的感性認識,部分學生能辨認定語從句,但大多數學生對其結構、關系詞的選用較為模糊。因此,他們對語法知識的系統性學習有較強烈的要求,但又不喜歡教師填鴨式的、喋喋不休的講解,而喜歡探究性、合作型的學習。
基于學生初次系統性地學習定語從句,本節課將知識內容設定為:讓學生在觀察與對比中探究定語從句的語法功能和結構,主要掌握關系代詞的正確選用,并通過練習與運用感知定語從句的語用功能。
整節課教學大致思路如下:
導入—呈現—觀察與發現—語法歸納—練習鞏固—運用—綜合運用—小結—作業 二、教學目標
1. 學生通過聽教師朗讀的含有定語從句的線索,猜出該組句子所描述的真人秀,達到在聽中辨認定語從句,體悟定語從句的表意功能。
2. 學生通過觀察六個描述跑男中相關人與物的、含有定語從句的句子,發現定語從句的語法功能及結構特點(先行詞、關系詞、從句位置)。
3. 學生通過表格形式討論所呈現的定語從句,歸納出關系代詞在從句中的作用及其所充當的成分。
4. 學生通過完成填空練習、改錯練習、語篇潤色練習、分組制定計劃“Running Boys and Girlds”,由淺入深鞏固、運用定語從句,無形中達到將語法活用于生活的目標。
三、教學重難點 1. 教學重點
學生在所創設的真是情境中,通過觀察、對比、討論,從而發現語法規律、感悟定語從句的美,將知識轉化為技能,將定語從句活用于生活。
2. 教學難點
學生在觀察例句、討論不同關系代詞的用法時,容易產生困惑,這時需要教師提供一定的技巧指導。有了技巧,學生可以跟同伴一起合作并歸納總結出語法規律。
四、教學過程
Step 1 Leading in (Class work) (1 min)
1. Greet the students and ask students to listen to three sentences and guess what they talk about. 1) It is a reality show which is broadcast on Zhejiang Television. 2) The show invites 7 popular stars who teenagers like. 3) It invites other stars who help it attract more audience.
2. Students observe the three sentences and find the attributive clauses in them. 設計目的:
基于學生對定語從句的經驗(在初中階段的英語學習中見過不少),此設計是為了讓學生在聽中聽懂定語從句,并在例句中找到定語從句,感悟其表意功能。
通過聽與猜的方式,激發學生的學習興趣,活躍課堂氣氛。
Step 2 Presentation ( 12 min)
1. Presentation: Studying the rule (Individual study)
Teacher presents six sentences that describe people or things closely related to the show Running Man and asks students to guess who or what they describe.
1) This is a man who/that is the shortest among the 7 members.
2) This is a man whose wife is Sun Li.
3) This is a woman (who/whom/that) Re Ba replaced.
4) This is a thing which/that makes you feel pain if you put your foot or hand on it. 5) This is a game (which/that) they often play.
6) This is a paper tag whose ownner must prevent others from tearing it off from his back.
設計目的:
學生閱讀六個含有定語從句的句子,描述與跑男相關的人或物,猜出描述的是誰或什么,并從中感悟定語從句的表意功能。
通過讀與猜的方式,激發學生的學習興趣,活躍課堂氣氛。
2. Presentation: Finding the rule (Individual study and group work)
1) Teacher presents 6 groups of sentences, which show how two simple sentences are combined into one with attributive clauses.
This is a man. He is the shortest among the 7 members.
This is a man who/that is the shortest among the 7 members. This is a woman. Re Ba replaced her.
This is a woman (who/whom/that) Re Ba replaced. This is a man.His wife is Sun Li. This is a man whose wife is Sun Li.

Let students observe them and discover the grammatical function and the structure of attributive clause (to modify a noun or pronoun) and find out what antecedent and relative mean with the help of the following questions.
(1) 先行詞(Antecedent):

作用2:代替________,在定語從句中充當_________。
2) Let students work in groups of six, observe the above sentences, fill in the chart and conclude the steps to choose the relative.

設計目的:
教師將所談論的句子整合到一個頁面上,便于學生觀察定語從句的位置和連接詞。
教師提供指導技巧,學生通過表格討論,能在短時間內弄清定語從句的連接詞及其分類和用法。了解連接詞的正確選用,便于后面練習鞏固以及運用提升。
Step 3 Practicing the rules ( 16 min)
1) Ask students to fill in the blanks and explain why the choose the relative. (Individual study) (1) Running Man is a reality show ______ partons(金主) include Suning, Ambrosial and Volkswagen. It is very popular among teenagers ________ almost watch it evey week.
(2) Wang Zulan ______ wife is very beautiful lives in Hong Kong. He is crazy about headbands(頭巾) _____________ he wears in every episode(集).
(3) Li Chen _______________ Fan Bingbing loves almost knows nothing about music, so he can hardly win in games _________ are related to music.

2) Proof-reading: Ask students work in groups and find the mistakes in each sentence. (Group work) (1) Angelababy whom her son needs her can’t take part in Runningman at present. (2) Don’t worry about me, because I’m not one who am afraid of difficulty. (3) All male member gave gifts to Dili Reba, who are either strange or ugly.
(4) Chen He whom Some audience, especially female, don’t like him gained some weight. (5) Wang Zulan tried his best to reach the drum what that hung very high.
3) Polish a composition with attributive clauses. (Group work)
Ask students to polish the composition bycombining the underlined sentences with attributive clauses.
Chinese Running Man” has become the most popular reality show in China. ①It invites seven stars to take part in some outdoor sports tasks. People like them. They go to some famous places, and are divided into two or three groups to compete against each other. ②In the tasks, they must have enough power and wisdom. They can help the stars win. The most famous game is “Name tgag ripping battle”.③The stars don’t care whether they look good on TV or whether the task is too hard. Their concern is whether the program is interesting.④Therefore, the reality show is more than an entertainment program. It can make people happy. Their persistence(堅持), bravery and the spirit of teamwork have impressed and moved many audiences.
設計目的:
從單句層面認識運用定語從句,到語篇層面認識運用定語從句,由淺入深檢測學生對定語從句的掌握程度。 學生在對語篇進行潤色時,能夠從整體上感悟定語從句在語篇中的表意功能,讓語篇更加流暢、簡潔;此外,還能感悟到不用定語從句也能表達同樣的意思,但定語從句的使用能使句子更加緊湊,邏輯更嚴謹。
Step 4 Production: Apply the rule (Group work) (9 min)
Make a plan for Running Boys and Girls, a similar reality show held by our school.
1) Ask students make a plan for our own reality show, Running Boys and Girls. They need to think about four aspects: time, place, tasks and members. They are required to use at least one attributive clause in each aspect.
2) Show them a sample before they start their discussion. 3) Ask two or three groups to present their plan. 設計目的:
通過設置真實的情境,鼓勵學生理解并運用所學知識進行真實的語言實踐活動,將定語從句活用于生活中,促使學生自如地運用目標語法。
通過讀、寫、說的方式,促進學生語法知識的內化和語言技能的提升。
Step 5 Summing Up (Class work) (1 min)
Help students to summarize what they have learned today. 設計目的:
通過師生合作的方式,引導并鼓勵學生根據前面課堂活動內容,獨立思考、自主歸納目標語法結構、自主學習過程中自我評估學習效果,激發學生學習的主動性和積極性。
Step 6 Assigning Homework (1 min) Write to the Students’ Union and tell them your idea about “Running Boys and Girls!”( 100 - 120 words ). You should use at least 3 attributive clauses.
