設計意圖:通過童話故事中的美人魚導入,引起學生興趣。并且整堂課都會與美人魚的故事為線索貫穿始終。

設計意圖:學生快速閱讀,找出每段的關鍵詞,理清文章脈絡。 2. Detailed reading
T: From these topics, we can infer that the writer had a special day. Now let’s have a detailed reading to get more information. Please try to find the answers of these questions. You will have 4 minutes to do it.
1. What is the first thing he became aware of under the sea? 2.What did the shapes of corals look like? 3. What other creatures did he find?
4.Were there anything that made him feel frightened? What were they? (4 mins later)
T:So what is the first thing he became aware of under the sea? S: vivid colors T: what are these colors?
S: purples, reds, oranges, yellows, blues, greens.
T: what about the corals? What did the shapes of corals look like?
S: The corals were fantastic. They were shaped like fans, plates, brains, lace, mushrooms, lettuces, and the branches of trees and the horns of deer. 設計意圖:學生在仔細閱讀后找出文中四個問題的答案,對文章的細節信息掌握得更好后,為后面游戲時學生對于文章的信息輸出做好準備。
Step 3 Guessing game
T: Now let’s play a guessing game. I’d like four students to come here and the other students should try to describe it by using the words from the text. Please guess the names of the following creatures(每個小組選一位同學上臺背對屏幕,其他同學根據屏幕中呈現的海洋生物,用文中的話進行描述。上面的同學競猜。) Picture1 anemone fish, little orange and white

T: Suppose you were the mermaid. It's the first time you have been to the zoo. Write a short passage about your feelings on the paper by using the beautiful words and expressions. You will have 8 minutes to do it. Sample answer:

Today, I went to visit a zoo I had never been to. It was the most fantastic thing I have ever done. It is so different from my habitat that it seems like a place of pure magic. Seeing such extrordinary beauty, I think every cell in my body woke up. It was

I enjoyed myself very much in the zoo. The first thing I became aware of was all the lovely birds and animals, such as the eagle, the elephant and the monkey. Besides, I watched a horror film named Jurassic. Park. My heart beat wildly when seeing the dinosaurs attacking people who wanted to steal them. What a wonderful ,limitless world it was!
設計意圖:讓學生以美人魚的身份結合今天所學寫一篇日記,文中主要運用一些描述自己感受的詞語。通過前文這些信息的反復輸入,八分鐘時間的輸出訓練也能夠順理成章。最后通過播放美人魚錄音的方式給出范例,讓學生身臨其境。
