學(xué)生 分析
授課對(duì)象為高一九班的學(xué)生,他們是天津市第七中學(xué)高一年級(jí)的一個(gè)中等水平的班級(jí)。本人從高一以來,一直擔(dān)任其英語教師。本班一共有48名學(xué)生,根據(jù)平時(shí)對(duì)于學(xué)生的課堂表現(xiàn)、作業(yè)完成及反饋情況、課下跟學(xué)生的交流及問卷調(diào)查,本人把全班學(xué)生分為A、B、C三大類。其中A類學(xué)生(能很好地掌握老師所講授內(nèi)容、積極參與課堂活動(dòng),在課堂上能起到積極的帶動(dòng)作用)有12名,B類學(xué)生(基本掌握老師所講授內(nèi)容,有著濃厚的英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣、課堂參與度相對(duì)活躍)24名,C類學(xué)生12名(基礎(chǔ)相對(duì)較為薄弱,英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣相對(duì)較差,需要A、B兩類學(xué)生的積極帶動(dòng))。在課堂上,根據(jù)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)狀況,本人按照1A+2B+1C的構(gòu)成,把學(xué)生分成12個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)小組,在學(xué)習(xí)過程中,A能夠起到帶頭作用,激發(fā)B的學(xué)習(xí)熱情,從而帶動(dòng)C參與到學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)中來。學(xué)生具備一定的語言表達(dá)能力,能用英語表達(dá)自己的見解和看法。
教材
分析
本模塊的話題為“Great Scientists”,其中The Student Who Asked Questions是關(guān)于中國(guó)偉大農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)家袁隆平的一篇文章,而本模塊中的module task是要求學(xué)生“Preparing a radio biography about a famous scientist”。教師把對(duì)于文章的閱讀與module task結(jié)合起來,把這節(jié)課整合成“基于閱讀的寫作教學(xué)”。首先讓學(xué)生閱讀文章,找出相關(guān)信息,為下一步活動(dòng)做準(zhǔn)備,隨后學(xué)生在老師的引導(dǎo)下,逐步總結(jié)出介紹偉大科學(xué)家時(shí),文章應(yīng)該包含的三部分,以及介紹這三部分信息常用的動(dòng)詞及短語還有在寫作過程中應(yīng)該注意的寫作順序(時(shí)間順序)。在教學(xué)過程中,講練結(jié)合。最后,老師給出四位偉大科學(xué)家的相關(guān)信息,讓學(xué)生按要求分組寫出介紹他們的文章,進(jìn)一步鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí)。

教學(xué)活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)說明:本環(huán)節(jié)共設(shè)置了三個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)。
在Task1中,教師要求學(xué)生回顧閱讀課本上的文章“The Student Who Asked Questions”, 然后完成 短文填空。核對(duì)答案之后, 教師再問學(xué)生:“What can we learn from Yuan Longping? / How do you like him?”讓學(xué)生表達(dá)對(duì)袁隆平的看法,從而教師很自然地給學(xué)生說明如何表達(dá)對(duì)人物看法的表達(dá)方式,如“in my view/for my part/ as far as I am concerned/…”,為后面的活動(dòng)做鋪墊。
在Task2 中,教師展示學(xué)生剛才完成的文章,讓學(xué)生用一個(gè)詞來概括劃線的句子。根據(jù)這些句子,學(xué)生能總結(jié)出Birth,Education,及Opinion等詞。此后,教師板書這些詞匯,幫助學(xué)生把Birth和Education歸納為Basic information(基本信息),Experiment和Discovery歸納為Efforts & Achievements(努力和成就)。學(xué)生根據(jù)板書,很明顯地了解介紹科學(xué)家是應(yīng)該包含基本信息、努力和成就以及個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)三方面。 在Task3 中,教師讓學(xué)生再次閱讀上面的文章,并從文中找出跟基本信息、努力和成就以及個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)這三方面相關(guān)的動(dòng)詞或短語,在核對(duì)答案的時(shí)候,教師再給學(xué)生補(bǔ)充一些相關(guān)的詞匯,如:be diagnosed with/ graduated from /be admitted into/be awarded the …Prize (for…)/ invented /…。

Marie Curie
Marie Curie was known to the world as a physicist and chemist. She was born in 1867 in Poland. When she was 24, she was admitted into the University of Paris.
After graduation, she was devoted to scientific
researches. She discovered radium and polonium in 1898, and she was given the 1903Nobel Prize in Physics for her discovery. Eight years later, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Unfortunately, she died of a disease caused by radioactive materials at the age of 67.
In my view, she is a brilliant scientist and I respect her for her hard work.

教學(xué)活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)說明: 本環(huán)節(jié)一共設(shè)置了Task4和Task 5兩個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)。
在Task4中,首先教師呈現(xiàn)了四條關(guān)于科學(xué)家M的相關(guān)信息(1. Poland, 1891;2. the University of Paris,1891;3. polonium and radium, 1898;4. the Nobel Prize for Physics, 1903; the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, 1911.),學(xué)生只要想出任何包含這些關(guān)鍵詞的句子,言之有理即可。通過這樣的任務(wù),學(xué)生在看到關(guān)鍵詞的時(shí)候,知道這些關(guān)鍵詞是關(guān)于基本信息或者主要努力和成就的信息,所以就能相應(yīng)地去使用上一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)中學(xué)到的關(guān)于這兩方面的詞匯。在學(xué)生說出他們的句子之后,老師也給出相應(yīng)的幾個(gè)句子,給他們示例。在呈現(xiàn)給學(xué)生這四條信息并且讓他們聯(lián)系寫句子之后,老師問學(xué)生一個(gè)問題:“如果這四條信息都是關(guān)于一個(gè)女科學(xué)家的,那么這個(gè)科學(xué)家是誰?”學(xué)生很容易說出Marie Curie的名字,然后教師再給他們展現(xiàn)一篇自己寫的關(guān)于居里夫人的文章,并讓一位同學(xué)給全班同學(xué)朗讀,通過這篇文章,學(xué)生能進(jìn)一步熟悉介紹偉大科學(xué)家的文章的結(jié)構(gòu)及應(yīng)當(dāng)使用時(shí)間順序來介紹,同時(shí)知道在表達(dá)時(shí)間時(shí),可以使表達(dá)方式多樣化。 在Task 5中,教師首先呈現(xiàn)四張科學(xué)家的圖片,讓學(xué)生分別說出他們的名字,隨即分別展示他們的相關(guān)信息,并幫助他們認(rèn)識(shí)信息中的生詞。 然后把學(xué)生分成四個(gè)大組,讓他們選擇自己喜歡的科學(xué)家來確定自己的寫作任務(wù)。每個(gè)大組中的學(xué)生按四個(gè)人一小組展開討論,其中一人負(fù)責(zé)寫下文章。與此同時(shí),教師通過循環(huán)播放PPT來展現(xiàn)四個(gè)科學(xué)家的相關(guān)信息,供學(xué)生參考。
設(shè)計(jì)目的:通過Task4,學(xué)生能進(jìn)一步練習(xí)與基本信息、努力和成就相關(guān)的表達(dá)

教學(xué)活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)說明: 讓其中一些學(xué)生到講臺(tái)展示其小組的文章,教師給予評(píng)價(jià)。
其他學(xué)生在聽的同時(shí)根據(jù)作文評(píng)價(jià)量表中的四個(gè)方面,即結(jié)構(gòu)、內(nèi)容、書寫及語法來給展示同學(xué)的文章一個(gè)等級(jí)(Grade A: 85-100 / Grade B: 70-85/ Grade C: 60-70 /
Grade D : 0-60)。
