教材分析：每一個人都熱愛自己的家鄉。本課以“家鄉”為主要題材，通過使用形容詞比較級形式進行各類比較，開展“聽說讀寫”活動。通過學習，學生能夠由簡及繁的逐漸感知新的語言，并通過范例學習介紹、比較不同地方。

教學目標：
1.理解本課關于兩個城市對比的對話。
2.學習并熟練使用形容詞比較級。
3.學情分析：八年級學生思維活躍,思路寬廣,已具備一定的英語理解和語言組織能力,但仍有部分同學有欠缺,因此在學習過程中,應盡量讓學生多說多聽。另外一部分同學語法知識薄弱,運用能力不強,因此在教學過程中應多多練習形容詞比較級的用法。
4.教學重難點：
教學重點:1.形容詞比較級的用法。2.兩個城市的對比英語說法。
教學難點:對一個城市進行描述并與另一個城市進行對比。
5.教具：Multi-media and blackboard
6.教學過程
活動1【導入】形容詞比較級的復習
1.在屏幕上顯示若干英語單詞(形容詞),找同學說出它們的比較級,并在屏幕上顯示出由原級變成比較級的規律。
2.給出6個與比較級有關的漢語句子,每組完成一個漢譯英。完成后每組派一名代表給出答案。
活動2【講授】頭腦風暴
教師向學生發問“Where is your home town?”What is your home town famous for?"找幾名同學回答,后向同學介紹“Well, my home town is Yingkou,it's famous for the rice and the soybean sauce.”“So do you know what is be famous for?”It's 以……而著名"
活動3【活動】單詞拼讀
大屏幕上依次顯示單詞漢語含義,學生以拼讀的方式反應。
活動4【活動】聽錄音并回答問題。
1.向學生依次展示上海金茂大廈和香港太平山的圖片,向學生提問Do you know where is it?“
2.聽錄音前向學生在屏幕上展示問題
How high is Jin Mao Tower? It’________meters high.
How high is Victoria Peak? It’s________meters high.
What’s the population of Shanghai/Hong Kong?
3.錄音結束后進行語法訓練

活動5【活動】課文聽力訓練
1.向學生展示課文錄音,了解課文大意。
2.再聽錄音,要求學生劃出含有形容詞比較級的句子。
3.錄音結束后,學生分組進行回答,并翻譯句子。
4.找出所有有形容詞比較級的句子后,學生齊讀。
活動6【講授】課文語法講解

活動7【活動】讀課文
以齊讀和分角色朗讀的方式反復讀課文。
活動8【活動】提問并回答問題
1.向學生展示問題:
Where is Shenzhen?-----It’s on the coast near Hong Kong.
Is Shenzhen newer than Hong Kong?---Yes, it is.
When did Shenzhen become important?----In the 1980s.
What’s the population of Shenzhen?---Over 10 million.
Where does Daming advise Tony to go? And why?---Diwang Tower. Because it is taller than many other buildings in Shenzhen.
2.學生分組回答問題。齊讀答案。
活動9【活動】小組討論
給出一個深圳的圖片,根據這個圖片及所給單詞或詞組,小組討論如何描述這個城市,然后分組找同學回答。
活動10【練習】練習題
大屏幕上顯示練習題,學生齊答。
活動11【作業】課后作業
Work in groups. Talk about the differences between Shenzhen and your home town. You can think about the location, the population, the history and some famous place. Write a passage about that.
活動12課后反思
本課為聽說課,學生較多的參與到了聽和說當中,能較好的完成聽力訓練和口語表達,完成了教學目標,對教學重難點也有了很好的訓練。在未來的學習當中,應加強對學生語法的訓練,更好的幫助學生學習英語。
