教材解析
本單元討論的主題是“傳說和故事”，其功能項目是講故事（tell a story）。語言目標是要求學生用連詞unless，as soon as，以及so„that結構的用法。分為section A，
section B，Self Check三個部分。本單元內容與實際生活息息相關，是學生感興趣的話題。
本節課是圍繞story來展開話題的一個單元，分為五個課時。本節課為本單元第課時，主要以西方的神話故事<<糖果屋>>為話題，讓學生能聽懂故事，并能用英語為他人講述故事。
學情分析
學生是學習的主體，對學生情況的分析是教學工作的關鍵環節。八年級學生的特點：八年級學生經過一年多系統的英語學習，具備了一點的聽說基礎，正逐步向讀，寫過渡，通過一年多新課程理念的熏陶和實踐，有了初步自主合作，分析歸納的能力。并處于知識積累，前后知識銜接，培養良好的學習習慣的關鍵時期。大部分學生對英語有一點興趣，但由于知識的安排由淺入深，有少數學生對這門學科產生了厭惡心理，消除學生厭學情緒，激發學生興趣至關重要。
教學設計理
念
本節課通過屏幕，展示<<糖果屋>>的動畫視頻,導入新課，讓學生對故事有一定的了解，并預測故事的發展來激發學生，參與學習的興趣，是新課導入的關鍵。既擴寬了學生的知識面，讓學生了解了更多的故事，同時競賽的形式更能活躍課堂氣氛。
單元目標
1．語言目標：擴大詞匯量，掌握動詞的過去式，理解課文，熟練運用詞匯，了
解如何講述英語故事。
2．技能目標：訓練學生運用所學知識進行聽、說、讀、寫的綜合能力。
3．情感目標：讓學生充分運用講故事的句型講述童話故事，培養學生學習英語
的樂趣。 單元重點 1．能夠用英語講故事。
2．能夠迅速準確地從所給材料中獲取信息。 3．動詞過去式的用法。 單元難點
1. 能夠從聽力材料中獲取信息 2. 掌握講故事的固定句型。 3. 熟練運用所學的連詞。 4. 狀語從句的運用。

教學目標
知識目標
1) 能掌握以下單詞和短語: stepmother, wife, husband, whole, scene, stone, shine, bright, as soon as 2) 能掌握以下句型：
① One year, the weather was so dry that no food would grow. ② We thought you were never coming back.
③ It’s leading us to that wonderful house made of bread, cake and sugar.
④ The wife told her husband that unless he left the children to die in the forest, the whole family would die.
⑤ As soon as you wake up, you must go to the forest with your father.
能力目標
讓學生充分運用課本劇的表演講述童話故事，培養學生學習英語的樂趣。
情感目標
多閱讀中外傳統文學名著，讓學生們明白文化的博大、精深，開闊自己眼界。了解中西文化的核心思想是宣揚人性的真善美!

Fast reading
Read the play quickly and finish task : Match each description with the correct scene. Guide the students to practice skimming the main idea of the play and help the students to paint a whole picture of the play
in mind.

Read the play again , find the supporting details and finish task
2: Put the key words from each scene into the baskets.
Help students to get a better
understanding of scanning the
detailed information .
Act out the play
Let students act out the play as actors . Choose the order of the performance. Give students some time to prepare.

Summary
