一. Teaching aims:

Let Ss listen to an alarm sound. Ask Ss what they heard?
(讓學生聽一個警報聲,問學生他們聽到了什么)
T: Yes. It’s 119 fire alarm. It means there is a fire someplace. In our lives, natural disasters and accidents often take place. What should we do to keep away from danger? In this class,we’ll learn …
Show the learning aims to Ss. Step 二. Lead –in
Show four different first-aid sounds to Ss.
(通過聲音向學生展示四種不同的急救電話)
T:If we are in danger, we can dial the first-aid numbers for help. Now please listen to the sounds carefully, and tell us what it is. SS: 110-police 120-hospital 119-fire 122-traffic (一).l et ss open their books.
(讓學生打開課本,完成本課Part A1)
T: open your books on page 99. Can you describe the four pictures and tell us which numbers should you call in the following situations? (Give ss 2mins to disscuss. One of the purposes is review the reading part, the other one is to let ss know which numbers should they call in different situations.給學生2分鐘時間討論,一是復習本單元閱讀部分,
二是讓學生了解在什么情況下撥打什么急救電話)
Step 三. Listening
(一).let ss watch a video and think about: (讓學生觀看視頻并思考下面兩個問題) 1.what happened in the video?
2.what should you do in the building on fire? While ss are watching the video, the teacher explain:
(學生觀看視頻時,老師對視頻內容解釋,讓學生對聽力材料有第一
印象。)
We can see there is a big fire in the building. People are trying to get out as soon as possible. Because of the thick smoke, you’d better cover the mouth and nose with wet towel. And you’d better not take lift, you should take the stairs.
(通過視頻,吸引學生注意力,幫助學生理解老師的旁白,為下一步理解聽力內容做準備) (二) Pre- listening
1. Showing some pictures to help ss understand and master the key words and phrases and help ss get the useful information from recording easily.(向學生展示一些圖片,學習聽力材料中重點單詞和短語,有
助于學生獲取聽力材料中的有用信息。)
T:In the video we can see: the building is on fire. At the same time, there is lots of thick smoke. When you are in the building on fire. You’ d better get out as soon as possible. What is it? What is it used to do? towel . You can cover your mouse and nose with a wet towel to protect yourselves from thick smoke. If you are hurt in the fire, you’d better cover the burn with a clean towel.
When we cross the road, we should follow the traffic rules. Otherwise, it is possible to have a traffic accident. (板書重要單詞短語并領讀) Step 四. While-listening (一). Show four pictures to let ss be familiar with the listening materials: fires, floods, earthquackes, traffic accidents.(向學生展示圖片,更直觀
的讓學生了解聽力材料的四個方面)
T: If there is a flood, we should get to hide ground and stay there. When an earthquake happens, we should hide under a strong desk.(根據圖片提示,對聽力材料中另外場景給學生略微提示)
T: There is a talk about “away from danger” at sunshine school. Let’s listen to the talk with Simon together and help him complete his notes. Before listening, you have 2minutes to predict. Predicting can help you get the useful information.
(給學生2分鐘時間熟悉part A2,進行預測) (進一步提示學生聽力技巧:)
T: While listening, try to catch the main ideas and write parts of words at the first time. Now let’s listen to the recording. (播放錄音兩遍,中間稍有間隔)
1. Let 4 ss write down the answers on the blackboard. 2. Check the answers. Emphasize the important phrases. 3. Consolidate
T: It’s time to challenge your memory. Who can try? Let ss say out the important phrases in Part A2. Step 五. Part A3
1. T: Annie didn’t attend the talk. She is asking Simon about the talk.
Now you have 3 minutes to help Simon answer Annie’s questions. You can do it according to the Part A2. You can discuss in groups. (給學生2分鐘時間完成)
T: Now let’s listen to the talk again to check the answers. 2. let ss read the dialogue with their deskmates. 3. Practise:
T: It is time to challenge your writing ability. Let several ss try to complete the notes. Step 六. Speak up
(一).Show four pictures about some accidents.(向學生展示生活中常見
小事故)
T: We have learnt how to be away from the danger. In daily life, if we have a nosebleed, cut our fingers, burn our hands or hurt our ankles, do we need call for help? How to deal with some accidents?
1. Let’s listen to a conversation between Millie and Daniel, and answer: What accident are they talking about?
2. Let ss read the dialogue by themselves. And answer: How to deal with it?
3. Follow the teacher to read the dialogue. 4. Let ss read the dialogue together. 5. Practice the dialogue with partner. 6. Show time
T: It’s time to show yourselves. You can use the dialogue model and some tips to make a dialogue with your partner. You have 2 minutes to prepare for it.
(給學生2分鐘時間準備對話)
Let 3 groups of ss to act out their dialogue. Step 七. Summery
T: In this class, we have learnt about :
1. when accidents happen, we should:calm down, call 110/119/120/122…
2. when you meet natural disasters,
calm down; take right actions to protect yourselves; help each other; work together.
Step 八. Improve the awareness of self-protection. T: let’s watch a video and speak out your feelings. 觀看短視頻老師旁白:
T: The natural disasters and accidents are very terrible. You must know how to protect yourselves from danger. Please remember: cherish your life, away from danger. Step 九. Homework
Make a poster about “away from danger”.
