Teaching Aims
1.The students will be able to tell the basic usage of adjectives and adverbs. 2. The students will be able to use the comparative and superlative properly.
3. The students will be able to use the main structure reviewed in this class and some proper adjectives or adverbs to polish a composition.

I. Talk about the program
1. Let students enjoy a video first and then talk about it.
T: Which program is it from?
What do you think of this program? Who is the captain of the team? What do you think of him?
What do you think of Angelababy? Help students to conclude how these adjectives are formed.
2. Let Ss do exercises to know the difference between adjectives ending in -ing and –ed better.
1.Watch a video and talk about the program.
It’s ______________. He is_____________. She is ____________.
Then conclude how these adjectives are formed under the teacher’s guidance.
They are formed by _____+后綴 2. Do the exercises.

1.Show the picture of the West Lake T: In the program, they have been to many places, where are they now? What do you think of the West Lake? Then help students conclude the first usage of adjectives.
2.Show another picture and let students go on talking about the West Lake.
Help students conclude the second usage of adjectives.
3.Show 3 pictures the members do around the West Lake and make students practice the structure: It’s +adj. for them to do sth. =They find it+adj. to do sth.
T: The West Lake is so beautiful that they should keep it clean.
Let students pay attention to the structure of the sentences and help conclude the third usage of adjectives. 4.Show a short passage about Zheng Kai’s impression towards the West Lake and let students fill in the blanks. 1. Talk about the West Lake. It’s a/an _______________place.
Then conclude the first usage of adjectives:

III. Review the basic usage of adverbs
1.Show pictures of two games in the program and let students talk about them.
T: They often play games in the program. Look! Which game is it?
Who is good at playing this game? Why?
How to play this game?
What should you do if you want to win the game?
Then help students to conclude how these adverbs are formed and the usage of them.
2. Show a passage of another game watched in the video and let students fill in the blanks.
1.Talk about the two games:
Li Chen is good at playing the game because he is very strong.
He is so strong that he can win the game easily.
The game is popular. The children are playing the game happily.
To win the game, you should draw clearly/well/…
You need to think carefully/ quickly/… and guess the name quickly/correctly. Then tell how the adverbs are formed and the usage of adverbs:

2. Fill in the blanks.
