Step1. Lead-in.

Let students enjoy the video clip of America’s got talent and ask them “What do you think of it?”
Step2. Presentation.

show students pictures of some TV shows to learn the new words and know how to pronounce them. 2.Let’splaywordgames!
Play the gamesbomber games and magic eyes to ensure students have mastered all the TV shows and known how to pronounce them. 3.Let’s do 1a and 1b!
Step3. Practice.

Guide students to express their opinions towards TV shows and work in pairs to practice the conversation.

B: I love/ like/ don’t mind /don’t like/ can’t stand them. A: what do you think of news?
B: I love/ like/ don’t mind /don’t like/ can’t stand it.
Step4. Chain work.
Do the chain work to ensure students have mastered the sentences by saying: A: What do you think of …?

Step5. Let’s sing.
Let students clap and chant:

Students work in groups of four .One work as a interviewer who asks the other three students about their opinions about game shows and then make a report .
Report: In my group, Tom loves game shows, Because he thinks they’re great. Mary likes game shows, Because she thinks they’re interesting. But Jack doesn’t like them . Because He thinks they are boring! Thank you !
Step7. Homework.
Group work: let’s interview and report!
Students work in groups of four .Take turns to asks their group members’ opinions about the three TV shows and then make reports in the next class .
