Unit5 Seasons (Grade4 the 1st lesson) The analysis of the teaching material:
It’s a reading passage; it plays a vital role in the teaching of this unit, which is about the weather and activities of the four seasons. By learning this lesson, students can describe and communicate the four seasons in order to improve their oral English. Meanwhile, they can know the nature environment and climate. The analysis of the students:
The students in grade4 firstly make use of the new textbook, so their English levels and abilities are different. In need our teachers deal with this lesson actively and vividly in order to arouse their interests. Because their young age, our teachers can set some games and give them the chance to act the text, which can make them learn this lesson easily. Teaching aims: Knowledge aims:
1. From this text, students can listen, say, read and write the words: spring, summer, autumn, winter, warm, hot, cool and cold.
2. Students can listen, say, read and write the phrases: go boating, fly kites, eat ice creams, go swimming, have picnics, go climbing, make snowmen and go skating. Ability aims:
1. Students can describe the weather and activities like the sentences :
In spring, it’s warm, we can go boating and fly kites. Emotion aims:
1. Students can know the nature environment and climate. Teaching points and difficulties:
1. How to present these words and phrases: fly kites, go boating, eat ice creams, have picnics, go climbing, and make snowmen and go skating, season, spring, summer, winter, warm, hot, cool and cold.
