Teaching Procedures
I. Warmer/Revision
1. Greeting.
2. Sing an English song. 3. Revision about festivals.
Have students look at the pictures on the PPT and guess what festival it is. II. The presentation of the new material
1. Guessing game: Show a riddle to introduce the topic "Thanksgiving Day". 2. Listen to the text carefully to know more about Thanksgiving Day.
3. Group work: Have students read the text, circle the new words and ask the questions by themselves.
4. Teach the new words one by one. And then write down the questions they asked on the blackboard.

4. 培養學生自主學習能力,自己圈生詞,老師只起幫扶引導的作用。
不足:1. 引課時如果能在談論節日時,再豐富些問題會更好。2. 拓展問題 時如果能介紹下更具體的感恩節來源的故事會更加滿足學生的好奇心。
